hosting.com is a large international web hosting and infrastructure provider whose current business combines the long operating history of A2 Hosting with the wider World Host Group organization. The underlying hosting operation dates back to 2001, when Bryan Muthig started the company in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The A2 Hosting identity became established during the following years, and the business operated under that name for more than two decades.

A major corporate change took place on January 29, 2025, when A2 Hosting became part of World Host Group. The transition to the hosting.com brand followed on April 28, 2025. The global service continues to be legally operated by A2 Hosting, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company trading as hosting.com.

Hosting.com has grown far beyond the traditional shared-hosting profile associated with A2 Hosting. The group now serves more than 700,000 customers, hosts more than 3 million websites, operates in 181 countries and has more than 800 employees across the wider organization.

The current portfolio includes Web Hosting, Managed WordPress Hosting, WooCommerce Hosting, cPanel Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Managed VPS and Servers, Linux VPS, Windows VPS, Dedicated Servers, AI Application Hosting, AI Website Builder, Domain Registration, Email Hosting, SSL Certificates and Enterprise Hosting. The current Web Hosting platform is considerably more modern than the older A2 Hosting shared packages.
