Hosterion is an established Romanian web hosting and infrastructure provider founded in February 2004 by Adrian Andreiaș. The business began as Elvsoft SRL, initially combining software development, web design, search-engine optimization, domain registration, and hosting. Web hosting gradually became its main activity, and the company adopted the Hosterion brand on November 1, 2016.

A major ownership change took place in June 2025, when cyber_Folks acquired Hosterion in a transaction valued at approximately €6.7 million. At that point, Hosterion managed more than 12,000 hosting accounts, around 19,000 domains, and approximately 13,000 active customers, with annual revenue close to €2.1 million. The company continues to operate as a distinct Romanian hosting brand within the larger cyber_Folks group.

Hosterion is headquartered in Cluj-Napoca and has grown well beyond the profile of a small local hosting reseller. They operate their own servers, routers, switches, and network equipment, colocating this infrastructure in professional facilities across Romania, Western Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The service portfolio includes Linux Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Magento Hosting, Premium Hosting, Managed VPS, Dedicated Servers, Domain Registration, Business Email Hosting, SSL Certificates, Anycast DNS, Elasticsearch instances, and Google Workspace. Unmanaged VPS services are also available internationally through IntoVPS, a Hosterion brand launched in 2009.

The standard Linux Shared Hosting plans are suitable for personal websites, company presentations, blogs, small online stores, and web agencies. Available packages include between 10 GB and 200 GB of SSD storage and allow from four hosted domains up to an unlimited number of domains. Traffic is unlimited under a fair-use policy, while free SSL certificates, dedicated IPv6 addresses, daily backups, Anycast DNS, LiteSpeed, CloudLinux, Imunify360, and access to six hosting locations are included.

The shared environment supports PHP 5, PHP 7, PHP 8, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Perl, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, ImageMagick, and other commonly used web-development components. Softaculous simplifies the installation of content-management systems, forums, online stores, and collaboration applications. SSH access is available, while email accounts use the storage capacity of the selected hosting package rather than a small separate mailbox allocation.

WordPress Pro Hosting provides considerably more processing power and isolation than conventional shared hosting. The platform uses AMD EPYC processors, NVMe storage, private Redis instances, LiteSpeed with LSCache, CloudLinux Shared Pro, Imunify360, and WordPress Toolkit.

WordPress Pro customers receive staging and cloning tools, automated updates, centralized installation management, security checks, PHP X-Ray performance diagnostics, free migration, automatic backups, and proactive infrastructure monitoring. Available plans provide between 4 GB and 18 GB of memory, 5 GHz to 16 GHz of allocated processing capacity, and 30 GB to 180 GB of NVMe storage. Depending on the package, customers can host between one and ten WordPress installations.

This platform is a practical choice for WooCommerce stores, membership websites, high-traffic blogs, agencies, and businesses that need more predictable resources than ordinary shared hosting. WordPress Pro is available in Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Amsterdam, London, and Dallas.

Magento Hosting is optimized for demanding e-commerce applications, while Premium Hosting accommodates resource-intensive PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, and database-driven websites. Both product families provide significantly more CPU, memory, and I/O resources than standard shared hosting.

These packages include proactive HTTP monitoring, server-resource monitoring, malware scanning, migration assistance, extended backup retention, LiteSpeed, CloudLinux, free SSL certificates, Anycast DNS, IPv6, and daily backups. Storage capacities range from 30 GB to 120 GB of SSD space. Dedicated IPv4 addresses and managed Elasticsearch instances can be added when required.

Managed VPS services use KVM virtualization and OpenStack. Entry configurations include 8 GB of RAM, two virtual CPU cores, 60 GB of SSD storage, and 3 TB of monthly traffic. Larger standard configurations reach 64 GB of RAM, eight virtual CPU cores, 480 GB of SSD storage, and 18 TB of traffic.

Each managed VPS includes a dedicated IPv4 address, a /64 IPv6 allocation, proactive administration, monitoring, operating-system maintenance, security configuration, backups, software installation assistance, and a cPanel/WHM license for five accounts. Migration assistance includes up to 20 cPanel accounts, making the platform suitable for agencies, developers, and businesses moving from another cPanel provider.

Optional VPS components include additional IPv4 addresses, CloudLinux, LiteSpeed, managed Elasticsearch, larger cPanel licenses, and expanded backup storage. Customers who require full root access without proactive server management can use the IntoVPS platform instead.

Dedicated Servers are intended for virtualization, large databases, high-traffic websites, application hosting, and workloads requiring exclusive hardware. Current configurations use dual Intel Xeon Gold or Xeon Platinum processors, with 44 to 48 physical cores, 64 GB to 192 GB of RAM, and mirrored SSD or NVMe storage.

Dedicated servers include IPv4 connectivity, a /64 IPv6 allocation, Anycast DNS, and emergency hardware replacement. They are unmanaged by default. The optional management package adds cPanel/WHM for 100 accounts, proactive monitoring, operating-system updates, security maintenance, firewall configuration, backup software, 100 GB of remote backup capacity, migration assistance, performance auditing, and continuous technical support.

Business Email Hosting operates separately from ordinary web-hosting servers. Plans begin with 20 GB of total storage and scale to 500 GB, with unlimited domains and mailboxes within the purchased capacity. Messages are stored across three storage servers, while active-active network redundancy improves service continuity.

Email hosting includes daily backups, dedicated IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, Anycast DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, anti-spam protection, malware filtering, outbound reputation monitoring, and free mailbox migration. The platform carries its own 99.9% uptime commitment.

Customers requiring cloud productivity and collaboration tools can purchase Google Workspace through Hosterion. The service includes configuration assistance, mailbox migration, DNS management, authentication-record configuration, and support in Romanian or English.

The domain portfolio covers more than 700 extensions, including Romanian, generic, geographic, and newer descriptive TLDs. Domains are registered in the customer’s name and can be managed from the same client account as the hosting services. Free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates are available for hosted domains, with automatic installation and renewal.

Hosterion is available in Romanian and English. The Romanian storefront operates through hosterion.ro, while hosterion.com serves international and English-speaking customers. The website and ordering interface have a modern structure, work well on mobile devices, and make it reasonably easy to compare hosting categories.
