HOSTDOG is a Greek web hosting and domain-services company operating since 2002. The business was established by Nicolas Stefanis and currently operates through HOSTDOG SINGLE MEMBER P.C., a registered Greek private company headquartered in Thessaloniki. It remains a relatively small specialist provider, with approximately 2–10 employees and an additional business presence associated with Madrid.

The company offers a broad range of services covering personal shared hosting, business hosting, reseller hosting, managed Cloud VPS, dedicated servers, domain registration, SSL certificates and server management. It is also an accredited registrar for Greek .gr domains through the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission.

Personal Hosting is intended for individuals, freelancers, small businesses and lighter WordPress websites. The available packages support between one and ten websites, with storage allocations ranging from 1 GB to 16 GB. Every package includes NVMe storage, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited email accounts, databases, SSL certificates, daily backups and free website migration.

Business Hosting provides substantially higher resource limits for commercial websites, online stores and more demanding WordPress installations. These packages include between 30 GB and 120 GB of storage, support for 10 or 20 websites, and allocations reaching four virtual CPU cores and 4 GB of RAM.

Both Personal and Business Hosting use CloudLinux account isolation and include cPanel, WP Toolkit, Sitejet Website Builder and Softaculous. Developers also receive SSH and SFTP access together with Git, Composer, Node.js, Drush and WP-CLI. Security features include Imunify360, malware scanning, a web application firewall, Hardened PHP and isolated account resources.

Reseller Hosting supports between 10 and 50 separate cPanel accounts. Each reseller receives WHM access, private nameservers, white-label hosting, CloudLinux LVE Manager, PHP X-Ray, Softaculous, Imunify360 and daily backups. A small hosting account for the reseller’s own website is included during the first year.

The server portfolio is considerably broader than the shared-hosting range. Managed Cloud VPS packages are available as general-purpose, compute-optimized and dedicated-CPU instances. Entry configurations start with two virtual CPU cores and between 2 GB and 4 GB of RAM, while larger dedicated-CPU configurations reach 48 cores, 192 GB of RAM and 960 GB of NVMe storage.

Cloud storage can be expanded, and the platform supports snapshots, stateful firewalls, rescue access, load balancing, DDoS protection and off-site backups. The managed backup system retains seven daily copies, four weekly copies and one monthly copy.

Cloud VPS customers can use cPanel/WHM or the open-source Virtualmin control panel. CloudLinux, Softaculous and Imunify360 can also be added when required.

The Dedicated Server range includes AMD Ryzen, AMD EPYC, Intel Core and Intel Xeon systems. Configurations extend from compact servers with 64 GB of RAM and mirrored NVMe drives to storage-oriented systems with several enterprise disks and AMD EPYC machines equipped with 256 GB of RAM.

Dedicated servers include full root access, a guaranteed 1 Gbps network connection, unmetered traffic, 100 GB of backup space and managed administration. These systems are suitable for high-traffic websites, SaaS applications, virtualization, database workloads, private cloud environments and hosting resellers requiring dedicated hardware.

Domain registration covers more than 750 extensions, including international generic domains and numerous country-code extensions. HOSTDOG can register new domains, transfer existing names, configure DNS records, issue SSL certificates and migrate website files, databases and email accounts.

Website migrations are completed without an additional transfer fee. The migrated website can be tested before the final DNS change, allowing the transition to be scheduled with minimal interruption. This is particularly useful for companies moving active online stores, business websites or mail systems.
