HostDare is a budget-oriented web hosting company with a strong focus on unmanaged KVM VPS services and network routes optimized for customers connecting between the United States and Asia. The HostDare brand dates to 2015, when the company entered the hosting market with low-cost VPS services. The current legal operator is Hostsymbol Pte. Ltd., a Singapore private limited company incorporated on March 17, 2023, under registration/UEN 202310185H.

The company has expanded considerably beyond its original VPS lineup. Its current catalog covers China-optimized VPS, standard Los Angeles VPS, Japan VPS, Bulgaria VPS, shared hosting, reseller hosting, domain registration and transfer, IP leasing, together with a smaller range of unmanaged dedicated servers available through a separate order path.

VPS remains HostDare's principal service. Most virtual servers use KVM virtualization, include full root access, IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity, and are designed primarily for customers comfortable administering their own operating systems. Smaller configurations are generally Linux-oriented, while plans with sufficient RAM can also run Windows when the customer supplies the required license. Server reinstallations, reboot operations and other common VPS management functions are available through the VPS control system.

The most distinctive services are the CN2-GIA China Optimized VPS products located in Los Angeles, USA. HostDare currently separates these into Intel NVMe, AMD EPYC NVMe and RAID10 HDD families. The Intel NVMe CSSD range begins with configurations around 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, 25 GB NVMe storage and 500 GB monthly traffic, while larger plans reach substantially higher memory and storage allocations. The newer CAMD family uses AMD EPYC processors and NVMe storage, while the CKVM range uses RAID10 HDD storage for customers who prefer larger disk capacity over NVMe performance.

China-oriented VPS traffic can use CN2 GIA AS4809, China Unicom AS9929 and CMIN2 AS58807, depending on the destination network. The premium optimization is primarily outbound from Los Angeles toward residential ISP users in mainland China. Return traffic from China toward the VPS may use regular international transit such as GTT and other carriers. This arrangement is particularly useful for websites, application servers, proxy workloads and other services where fast delivery from a US server toward users in China is important.

For general-purpose workloads, HostDare provides several Los Angeles KVM VPS families. The standard NVMe line includes inexpensive Intel-based instances, while the AMD EPYC NVMe range provides newer CPU architecture at similarly aggressive prices. Public network ports reach 1 Gbps on several ranges, with monthly bandwidth allowances scaling from modest entry-level quotas to tens of terabytes on larger plans. A RAID10 HDD series remains available for workloads where inexpensive storage capacity is more important than NVMe I/O performance.

Japan is covered by two VPS families. Premium Japan NVMe VPS operates from Tokyo using SoftBank connectivity, with individual VPS network limits varying according to plan size. A second lower-cost Tokyo NVMe VPS range uses standard connectivity and generally includes a 100 Mbps public port. Tokyo is the current Japanese location for both product families.

The European VPS location is Sofia, Bulgaria. The BGSSD NVMe range is notable for unusually high monthly traffic allowances. Entry plans already include several terabytes of monthly transfer, while larger packages can reach 20 TB, 50 TB, 100 TB and up to 200 TB per month on a 1 Gbps public port. This makes Bulgaria one of the more interesting HostDare locations for legitimate high-bandwidth workloads that do not require the specialized China routes.

Shared hosting is centered on DirectAdmin. Basic, Deluxe and Ultimate plans provide increasing amounts of storage, CPU and RAM, while bandwidth is unmetered. Larger packages support numerous websites, databases and email accounts. Free migration is included, and Softaculous provides one-click installation for applications such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and Magento.

An older cPanel shared-hosting line consisting of Starter, Professional and Business packages still exists in the catalog, although these plans currently show no available inventory. DirectAdmin is therefore the practical shared-hosting platform for new customers.

DirectAdmin Reseller Hosting is also available. Business, Premium and Ultra packages provide between 50 and 100 DirectAdmin accounts, 50 GB to 200 GB of storage, 1,200 GB to 4,000 GB of monthly bandwidth, LiteSpeed optimization and free SSL certificates. These plans are suitable for small hosting companies, web designers and agencies that need separate customer accounts without administering an entire VPS infrastructure.

HostDare also maintains a small Dedicated Server lineup. Available configurations are based on older but still usable server hardware, including an Intel Atom 2758 system with 8 GB RAM and 250 GB HDD storage and an Intel Xeon E3-1240V2 system with 16 GB RAM and a 1 TB HDD. Both include sizeable monthly traffic allocations and are unmanaged, with full SSH/SFTP root access. Additional disks and justified IP allocations can be added where required.

Domain registration and inbound domain transfers are supported through the customer portal. HostDare also leases IPv4 /24 subnets under RIPE/APNIC allocation frameworks, aimed at customers with legitimate requirements for larger address blocks and subject to strict abuse-control requirements.

VPS and dedicated servers are fundamentally unmanaged services. Customers remain responsible for operating-system administration, application maintenance, security and backups. HostDare does not maintain dependable weekly backups of customer VPS or website data, so important workloads should always use an independent off-server backup system.

The main HostDare website operates primarily in English, while the billing and customer portal supports extensive localization. Available interface languages include English, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Persian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian.
