HostColor is a U.S.-based cloud, dedicated hosting and managed infrastructure provider with roots dating to 2000. The business began as a small European operation founded by two people, while Host Color LLC was incorporated in Wilmington, Delaware in 2003. The current leadership includes Dimitar Avramov, founder and CEO, and Alexander Drangajov, founder and advisory-board member. The company has therefore accumulated more than 25 years of experience across several generations of web hosting, virtualization, cloud and edge infrastructure.

Its development has been considerably broader than that of a conventional shared-hosting company. Shared hosting was introduced in the early years, followed by VPS and dedicated servers in 2003, managed hosting in 2005, cloud infrastructure and ARIN membership in 2009, expanded European and Asian infrastructure, and a large-scale edge-server network. By 2026 the infrastructure footprint had grown to more than 120 points of presence worldwide, with more than 70 U.S. locations plus infrastructure across Canada, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Australia.

The current portfolio covers Public Cloud, Hosted Private Cloud, Office Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, VPS, bare-metal and dedicated servers, AMD servers, GPU/AI servers, virtualized dedicated servers, Windows servers, unmetered servers, 10/20/30/100 Gbps servers, shared web hosting, managed web hosting, reseller hosting, application hosting, data storage, colocation, disaster recovery, streaming infrastructure, domains and SSL certificates. This makes HostColor significantly more infrastructure-oriented than the typical provider that concentrates primarily on shared hosting and domain registration.

Dedicated and edge infrastructure is one of the strongest parts of the portfolio. Server connectivity ranges from conventional 1 Gbps connections to 100 Gbps ports, with numerous configurations offering unmetered data transfer. Current dedicated-server options include Intel Xeon and AMD Ryzen/EPYC hardware, high-bandwidth servers, GPU systems, Windows servers, storage servers and custom bare-metal configurations. Entry-level U.S. dedicated infrastructure starts around $79 per month, while significantly larger bandwidth and GPU configurations are available for demanding workloads.

Cloud services cover public, private and hybrid architectures. Public and private cloud environments use modern virtualization including Proxmox VE, fault-tolerant storage and failover options, while hybrid-cloud configurations can incorporate VMware infrastructure. Public Cloud plans include Linux or Windows, full root access, selectable data-center locations and unmetered transfer. HostColor does not charge separately for ordinary Internet traffic, IOPS, DNS zones or DNS queries on these services, which makes monthly infrastructure costs more predictable.

VPS hosting remains available for customers requiring smaller virtual servers. Both SSD and SATA-based virtual machines are offered, with Proxmox VE forming an important part of the present virtualization environment. Customers receive root access, IPv4/IPv6 options, backups and a dedicated VPS management interface through ProxCP.

Web hosting is divided between self-managed and fully managed hosting. Self-managed WordPress, CMS, social and e-commerce plans use SSD storage on fault-tolerant infrastructure and include SSL, backups and common web-development technologies. Managed hosting adds system administration, monitoring and application assistance. Reseller hosting is also available through cPanel, with SSD storage and substantial monthly transfer allowances.

Application-specific infrastructure supports WordPress, Drupal, PrestaShop, Docker and other open-source applications. Data-storage services can be delivered from bare-metal or cloud platforms, while disaster-recovery options include both physical infrastructure and virtualized environments. Streaming customers can deploy their preferred software, including platforms such as Wowza or Red5, rather than being restricted to a proprietary streaming application.

Colocation ranges from individual 1U-4U servers through 20U half racks and complete 42U cabinets. Unmetered-bandwidth colocation and disaster-recovery colocation are also available. Managed colocation can include installation work, network administration, Linux troubleshooting, backups, updates, monitoring and remote-hands assistance.

HostColor's operating model is particularly notable for its semi-managed infrastructure. Basic assistance goes beyond simply supplying a powered-on server: administrators can install or reinstall an operating system, configure network settings, implement requested infrastructure configurations and assist with troubleshooting operating-system, network and software configuration problems. Fully managed service can be added where ongoing system administration is required.

The website and customer-facing service information are primarily in English, without a complete multilingual interface despite the company's international reach. Pricing is primarily in U.S. dollars (USD). The website itself is modern enough for the current product range and works well for browsing on contemporary screens, although the extremely large number of products and location-specific server options makes the catalog more complex than those of simpler hosting companies.
