Raise for the Future Uganda (RATFU) is a locally registered Community Based Organization (CDR 0414/B) formed in September 2010 by young persons to empower marginalized children and youth in the post conflict recovery period to actively participate and contribute to socioeconomic development of their community through promotion of Human rights protection and peace building, quality education, HIV and AIDS prevention and youth empowerment programs. The organization office is located adjacent to Police Post along Adjumani Road Attiak Sub-County-Amuru District (Northern Uganda) border of Republic of South Sudan.
Our Vision: We envision a peaceful and healthy society in which rights of every marginalized child and youth in Northern Uganda is recognized and respected.
Our Mission: We empower marginalized children and youth in Northern Uganda to realize their full potentials through capacity building and enhanced participation for socioeconomic development of their society.
Core Values: Our core values includes; Integrity, Creativity, Collaboration, Non-discrimination and accountability.
Strategic Objectives
To reduce incidences of HIV infections and AIDS, child rights violations and exploitation among the local population in Northern Uganda through awareness creation, outreach initiatives, system strengthening, collaboration and networking.
To empower youth with sustainable employment and entrepreneurship skills through training, livelihood support and linking them to credit facilities.
To increase access and retention to quality education services through school supports, mentorship and sponsorship.
To promote peace building among local community in Northern Uganda through advocacy and awareness creation.
