Host-ed.net is a long-running web hosting provider operating since 2006. The host-ed.net domain dates from September 28, 2006, while the current legal operator is Hosted Ltd., a Bulgarian limited company registered in 2018. Bulgarian corporate information identifies Preslav Evgeniev Lachovski as the company's owner and manager. Host-ed maintains a U.S. contact address in Dover, Delaware, together with an operations office in Sofia, Bulgaria. Its hosting infrastructure accommodates more than 100,000 websites.

The service range combines free hosting, Linux shared hosting, domain registration and transfers, SSL certificates, dedicated IP addresses and dedicated servers. VPS remains part of the account system, although there are presently no active VPS packages available for ordering, making shared and dedicated hosting the principal server products.

The Free Hosting account is useful for small websites, testing and users who want to evaluate the platform before moving to a paid package. It includes 1 GB disk space, 10 GB monthly traffic and support for three domains. Resource limits include approximately 16% of one CPU core, 100 MB of physical memory, five entry processes and 25,000 inodes. File-storage and streaming use are prohibited, outgoing email is restricted, and inactive free accounts need to maintain at least 1 MB of uploaded data and 1 MB of monthly traffic. Technical assistance for free accounts is handled primarily through tickets and email.

Paid shared hosting is centered on Personal Hosting and Business Hosting. Both packages include unlimited disk space and monthly traffic under fair-use and resource-control rules. Personal Hosting supports five hosted domains, 60% CPU allocation, 1 GB RAM, 250,000 inodes, up to 1,000 email accounts and 20 MySQL plus 20 PostgreSQL databases. Business Hosting increases the available resources to 100% CPU and 1.5 GB RAM while allowing unlimited hosted domains, email accounts and databases. SSH access is available with Business Hosting.

Shared accounts support PHP 8, MySQL, PostgreSQL, POP3, IMAP and SMTP. Management is based on cPanel, together with CloudLinux (cloudlinux.com) account isolation. Cloudflare integration provides CDN functionality, caching and additional filtering. CloudLinux LVE resource controls help prevent one shared-hosting account from consuming excessive server resources.

Paid plans include a website builder and one-click application installation for WordPress and other CMS platforms, blogs, forums, e-commerce applications, galleries, wikis and other common web software. Website migration is available for up to three cPanel websites, including files, scripts and databases.

Annual paid hosting can include a free domain registration or transfer together with domain privacy. The promotion applies to extensions such as .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info and .us. Domain services also cover independent registrations, transfers and WHOIS privacy.

SSL certificates and dedicated IP addresses are available separately. The SSL range includes RapidSSL and True BusinessID with EV. Dedicated IP options continue to cover Germany as well as U.S. and Netherlands locations.

Dedicated hosting is considerably broader than the shared range. Current server families include EX 40, EX 40-SSD and EX 60, PX 60, PX 60-SSD, PX 70, PX 70-SSD, PX 90, PX 90-SSD, PX 120 and PX 120-SSD, SX 60, SX 130 and SX 290, plus DX 150 and DX 290. These Germany-based root servers include dedicated IPv4, IPv6 /64 support, full root access, rescue facilities, VNC or image-based installation, reverse DNS control and server monitoring.

Older CX 10, CX 20 and CX 30 configurations remain part of Host-ed's service history, but they are no longer part of the active dedicated-server checkout. The same applies to some historical software specifications. References to Debian 7, CentOS 6.5, Ubuntu 12.04, FreeBSD 9, Windows Server 2012 R2, Plesk 11 and cPanel 11 belong to an older generation of server deployments and should not be treated as the standard software stack for a newly provisioned server.

The overall website has the visual character of an older hosting provider and retains some legacy content alongside more recent product information. Certain pages still contain references to older browsers, operating systems and product configurations. The customer and billing portal is considerably more modern and supports numerous languages, including Arabic, Azerbaijani, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Persian, French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian.
