home.pl is one of Poland’s largest and longest-established web hosting and domain providers. The business began in 1997 under the original HomeNet name and was founded by Stefan Jurczyk, Krystian Stypuła and Piotr Kapcio. What started as a three-person Internet venture in Szczecin has developed into an organization with more than 300 employees, over 300,000 customers and more than 1.2 million active services.

United Internet (united-internet.de) agreed to acquire all shares in home.pl through 1&1 Internet SE in July 2015. The transaction valued the shares at approximately €135 million, subject to closing adjustments, and the acquisition was completed in December 2015. Home.pl now operates within the IONOS group while retaining its Polish brand, Szczecin headquarters and local customer-support operation.

The company has grown far beyond basic shared hosting. Its portfolio covers domain registration, shared hosting, managed hosting, WordPress hosting, PrestaShop hosting, Linux VPS, Windows VPS, dedicated servers, business email, Microsoft Exchange, SSL certificates, website builders, online-store platforms, managed website creation, migrations, server administration and additional IT services.

More than 300 domain extensions are available. Introductory registration prices for selected extensions can start below PLN 1 net, although renewals follow the standard price list. Domain transfers, ownership changes, DNS administration and portfolio services for companies managing larger numbers of domains are also supported.

The conventional shared-hosting range consists of Hosting Start, Hosting Biznes, Hosting Profesjonalny and Hosting Premium. Capacity starts at 70 GB on the entry package and increases considerably on the professional plans. Common features include unlimited traffic, email accounts, databases, CMS installation, SSH access and regular backups. Higher-tier packages include SSL without the small introductory surcharge applied to some cheaper plans.

Home.pl uses a redundant shared-hosting environment with independent Internet connections and databases running on NVMe storage. The platform works well for company websites, blogs, smaller online stores and agencies managing multiple customer projects. The 99% monthly SLA, however, is less demanding than the 99.9% or 99.99% commitments offered by some premium business-hosting platforms.

The dedicated WordPress hosting range uses NVMe storage, MariaDB, current PHP versions, automatic WordPress updates, SSL and unlimited data transfer. Plans range from compact single-site packages to configurations supporting as many as ten websites. AI tools can assist with layouts, written content and image creation, while migration, maintenance and complete WordPress website development are available as additional services.

PrestaShop Hosting is separated from ordinary shared hosting and runs on infrastructure using AMD EPYC processors, DDR4 memory, NVMe storage and 10 Gbit network interfaces. It includes unlimited transfer, email, a dedicated IP address, backups and performance components intended for busier online shops. The service carries a 99% SLA, with backups retained for up to seven days.

Managed Hosting is aimed at companies that have outgrown normal shared hosting but do not want responsibility for administering a VPS. Plans provide 500 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB of storage, dedicated IP addresses, NVMe-based databases, higher file limits and managed backups. It provides a practical intermediate step between shared hosting and a self-managed server, although its 99% SLA remains relatively modest for demanding business applications.

The Linux VPS range uses NVMe storage and includes root access, one IPv4 address, unlimited traffic, anti-DDoS protection and network connectivity of up to 1 Gbps. Configurations extend from small virtual machines to servers with as many as 16 vCPU cores and 32 GB of RAM. Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux are available, and Docker workloads can also be deployed. The VPS platform carries the stronger 99.90% SLA.

Linux and Windows VPS instances can be deployed in Berlin, Frankfurt, Paris, Logroño, London, Worcester, Newark and Lenexa. These locations make the VPS service suitable for applications targeting users in different parts of Europe and the United States.

Windows VPS is available in several fixed configurations, with the Windows Server license added to the subscription price. Each server includes administrator access, anti-DDoS protection, NVMe storage and unlimited traffic. These virtual machines are suitable for remote desktops, Microsoft-based business software, Windows development environments and specialist applications. Operating-system administration, application security and backup planning remain the customer’s responsibility unless additional technical assistance is purchased.

Dedicated servers are provided through the affiliated homecloud.pl platform. The service includes KVM access, one IPv4 address, unlimited data transfer, anti-DDoS protection and a choice of Linux or Windows Server. Standard network connectivity is 100 Mbps, with a paid upgrade to 1 Gbps. RAID 0 or RAID 1 can be configured depending on the selected hardware and operating system, while Plesk is available as an optional control panel.

Dedicated-server customers must organize and maintain their own backups. Backup software, external storage and Plesk functionality can be used, but the server subscription itself does not include a fully managed backup system. The dedicated-server availability commitment is 99% per calendar month.

The security portfolio includes homeSSL, multidomain SSL, RapidSSL and GeoTrust certificates. Home.pl continues each annual SSL subscription for 365 days even as the permitted technical lifetime of individual public certificates becomes shorter, issuing replacement certificates when required. Automatic installation is available for compatible home.pl services.

Business email can be purchased independently from hosting. Packages range from a single compact mailbox to larger multi-account configurations and include antivirus protection, spam filtering, custom-domain addresses and attachments of up to 100 MB. Email data is stored in Poland. Customers requiring office and collaboration applications can add Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange or Google Workspace.

The Website Builder combines hosting, templates, an AI layout generator, AI-assisted text creation, blogging functions and domain support. The entry package is limited to 20 pages and one language, while the Professional package supports up to 500 pages and multiple language versions. Home.pl can also create and maintain a complete WordPress website for customers who prefer a managed implementation rather than a do-it-yourself editor.

For e-commerce, Sellastik provides a hosted store builder with AI assistance, more than 70 templates, order and sales reporting, product management and external integrations. The platform can be tested for up to 21 days. More advanced store-development services are also available for PrestaShop, Shoper and WordPress, together with payment, marketing and regulatory extensions.

The main website is modern, responsive and usable from mobile devices. It does not resemble an outdated, fixed-width hosting portal. The commercial website, checkout process, customer area and most support content operate in Polish. Selected help articles are available in English, but the full purchasing and support experience is intended primarily for Polish-speaking customers.

Prices are displayed in Polish zloty (PLN), with a choice between net and gross amounts. This is convenient for Polish businesses, although international customers must convert pricing themselves because other currencies are not offered throughout the main storefront.
