Guokeyun is a Chinese enterprise-domain, DNS, network-security and cloud-infrastructure provider founded in 2000. Its legal name is Beijing Guokeyun Computing Technology Co., Ltd., while the business previously operated as Beijing Zhongke Sanfang Network Technology Co., Ltd. The Guokeyun name was adopted in 2023.

The company began as a joint investment involving the Computer Network Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Beijing Sanfang Venture Network Technology. CNNIC’s terminal customer service department was integrated into the organization when operations started, giving the company an early connection with China’s domain-name and internet-infrastructure sectors.

Guokeyun became one of China’s early CNNIC-certified domain service institutions and obtained Ministry of Industry and Information Technology authorization for domain registration and internet-access services. The Chinese Academy of Sciences Software Center acquired the company in 2011. A later shareholding reform introduced employee ownership while the Software Center retained control, and the business now operates under an enterprise structure controlled through Chinese Academy of Sciences Holdings.

Its services are aimed primarily at government departments, financial institutions, research organizations, central state-owned enterprises and large corporate groups. This is not a conventional low-cost shared-hosting brand. The core business is built around enterprise domain management, domain-brand protection, authoritative DNS, anti-DDoS DNS, DDI, IPv6 conversion, infrastructure monitoring, SSL certificates and web application security.

The company holds an Internet Domain Name Service License, a value-added telecommunications operating license, national top-level domain registrar certification and Verisign registrar authorization. Additional credentials include MLPS Level 3, ISO 9001, ISO 20000, ISO 27001 and CCRC information-security service certification. These qualifications make the service particularly relevant to Chinese organizations working under cybersecurity, data-management and government-procurement requirements.

Domain registration and management cover Chinese extensions, international generic extensions, new generic top-level domains and specialized Chinese-language domains. Centralized domain management is available for organizations controlling large portfolios, including renewal administration, registrant management, DNS changes and domain-locking services.

The domain-brand protection service is particularly suitable for banks, government organizations, consumer brands and multinational groups. It combines global registration, lookalike-domain monitoring, phishing detection, application-security checks, website scanning, ownership protection and assistance with domain disputes. Guokeyun works with more than 20 international domain partners and maintains a specialist team for large corporate portfolios.

Cloud DNS is one of the company’s principal infrastructure services. It supports intelligent routing according to geographic location and carrier, distributed authoritative DNS, load balancing, health monitoring, automatic failover, DNSSEC, high-defense DNS and global traffic management. Security controls protect against DNS DDoS attacks, cache poisoning, malicious-domain access and abnormal query behavior.

The platform uses geographically distributed nodes together with separate primary and backup resources, reducing dependence on a single network or service location. Enterprise customers can integrate the service through APIs or deploy localized configurations. Higher service levels retain DNS query and operational reports for up to 365 days.

DDI combines DNS, DHCP and IP address management within a centralized platform. It handles authoritative and recursive DNS, DNS forwarding, zone delegation, resource records, IPv4 and IPv6 allocation, device identification, dynamic address recovery, IP scanning, conflict prevention, network discovery, audit trails and utilization alerts.

The DDI portfolio also includes intelligent DNS appliances, standalone DHCP management and IPAM. Appliance deployments support redundancy, VRRP, Anycast clusters, DNS64, DNS firewalls, health checks and API-based integration. These products are suitable for private clouds, corporate networks, campus environments and organizations replacing manually maintained IP address records.

IPv6 conversion allows an existing IPv4 website to become accessible over IPv6 without rebuilding the application or changing the original server architecture. The platform uses clustered resources across availability zones, graphical administration and automatic second-level switching. It works with websites hosted in local facilities, public cloud platforms or public IPv4 environments.

The monitoring portfolio combines synthetic network testing with website-content supervision. Cloud Probe uses real monitoring nodes across Chinese carriers, major domestic cities and overseas regions. It checks DNS, CDN performance, website availability, network latency and connection quality, with dashboards and SMS or email notifications.

The website health service monitors ICP information, WHOIS records, IPv6 access, HTTP responses, DNS status, broken links, typographical errors, sensitive content, images and streaming media. Automated scanning can be combined with manual review, making the service useful for government portals, financial websites and organizations requiring continuous content-compliance monitoring.

Cloud Shield provides web application firewall and edge-security functions. It conceals the origin server, filters malicious traffic and protects against SQL injection, cross-site scripting, command injection, directory traversal, malicious file inclusion, webshell activity, automated bots and application-layer CC attacks. Additional security services include penetration testing, compliance assistance, emergency response and managed security operations.

SSL certificates are available for organization-validated, extended-validation, wildcard and multidomain deployments. Certificate management includes expiration reminders, reissuance, replacement and multiyear subscription administration. Domestic and international certificate-authority options are available.

Traditional infrastructure services remain available through cloud servers, server colocation, domain hosting, website construction and enterprise email. Cloud-server and colocation services use the China Science and Technology Network’s multi-carrier BGP environment, while cooperation with providers such as Alibaba Cloud expands the available infrastructure choices.

Standard VPS, shared-hosting and dedicated-server configurations are not organized as a conventional international hosting storefront. Most enterprise infrastructure services require direct consultation and customized configuration.

The service environment is available in Simplified Chinese, while product prices are quoted in Chinese yuan (CNY/RMB). This makes Guokeyun considerably more suitable for organizations operating in China than for international customers requiring an English-language self-service platform.
