Guatemalanetworks is a long-established Guatemalan web hosting and internet-services company with a history dating back to 2001. The business developed around web hosting, domain registration, website development, search-engine positioning, and related internet services, with a strong focus on companies and organizations in Guatemala. Its customer base exceeds 1,500 and includes SMEs, industrial businesses, hospitals, chambers of commerce, and public-sector organizations.

The hosting operation is associated with Grupo Web Publicidad (webguatemala.com), formally Grupo Web Publicidad, S.A., a Guatemalan corporation established on June 2, 2009 and definitively registered with the Mercantile Registry on July 1, 2009. The Giga family provides substantially more capacity. Giga includes 50 GB of storage, 100 GB monthly transfer, and 250 mailboxes, while Giga+ increases storage to 70 GB and transfer to 150 GB. At the top of the range, Giga++ provides 50 GB + 50 GB promotional storage, effectively 100 GB, together with 200 GB monthly transfer, 300 FTP accounts, and 400 POP3/IMAP mailboxes.

All shared packages use Linux and include PHP 8, MySQL 8, FTP and WebFTP access, password-protected directories, resource-usage statistics, email hosting, antivirus filtering, antispam protection, MX management, and visitor statistics through Awstats and Webalizer. Webmail is available through RoundCube.

Application installation is simplified through Softaculous (softaculous.com), making it easier to deploy common CMS, blog, gallery, and other web applications without performing the installation manually.

Domain registration is another important part of the business. International extensions include .com, .net, and .org, while local Guatemalan options include .com.gt, .net.gt, .org.gt, and .gt. Standard hosting packages include the registration or transfer of one .com, .net, or .org domain for the first year, together with its renewal while the hosting arrangement remains active under the applicable package conditions.

Web development ranges from relatively simple institutional websites to larger commercial portals. Projects can include complete front-end and back-end work, customer-manageable content, ongoing maintenance, and responsive layouts suitable for desktop computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
