Founded in 1993, GKG offers hosting services and it is an ICANN-accredited domain registrar. GKG is short for Global Knowledge Group and they were the 7th accredited domain registrar and the 13th operational one. Shared hosting packages are designed for many types of businesses starting from small businesses to developers who monitor multiple websites. Customers will find industry-standard features integrated within these plans, such as: email services (auto responders, virus scanning, webmail) or features like web statistic and HotLink protection. Except for the entry-level plan, all shared hosting plans include unlimited domains and subdomains.
Reseller hosting packages run on Linux OS and these support MySQL databases, email aliases and domains. However, it is only the more advanced plans that include these features in unlimited amounts. When we compare these web solutions to similar configurations provided by other companies, we can notice that such features can come in unlimited forms.

😞 Had a terrible customer service experience just now with a "Kristen" / "Christen" person on Dec 8, 2020.
I asked a basic, simple question about their website and she seemed frustrated by her own inability to answer it. At some point, she even began to "tune out" of my question altogether - instead reading or speaking to someone else before saying, "yeah so do you need anything else?" Amazing.
Their customer service is also not 24/7 like other providers, and they charge for services that other providers add for free (i.e., private registration).
I believe if they valued their customers more, they might have better reviews. After more than 10 years or so of hosting fairly simple websites w/ GKG, I am moving elsewhere.
