📄 Editorial Review

Gen X Web Hosting is an Indian web hosting, domain registration and cloud-services company headquartered in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The business was founded in 2011, with Vipin Singh serving as founder and CEO, while the legal entity behind the operation is Gen X Web Hosting Pvt. Ltd. The company has grown into a sizeable hosting operation serving more than 25,000 active customers and hundreds of thousands of websites, blogs and applications.

Its service catalog is extensive and covers Linux Shared Hosting, Windows Shared Hosting, Linux Reseller Hosting, Windows Reseller Hosting, VPS and Virtual Cloud servers, Dedicated Servers, Managed WordPress, Startup Hosting, Node.js Hosting, Python Hosting, n8n Hosting, domain registration and transfers, SSL certificates, Business Email, SiteLock, CodeGuard and Cloudflare services. This makes Gen X Web Hosting suitable for everything from small personal sites to reseller businesses, development projects and dedicated infrastructure.

Linux shared hosting is available with either DirectAdmin or cPanel, giving customers more flexibility than providers that standardize on a single control panel. The DirectAdmin platform includes NVMe storage, CloudLinux account isolation, Softaculous, free Let's Encrypt SSL, email hosting and DDoS protection. cPanel hosting offers MySQL, Softaculous, webmail, SSL and migration assistance within the familiar cPanel environment. Larger plans increase website, database, storage, bandwidth and mailbox allocations considerably. These Linux hosting services include a 99.9% uptime SLA.

Windows hosting uses Plesk Obsidian with IIS, ASP.NET Core, .NET, MSSQL Server and webmail support. Packages range from small single-site configurations to larger plans suitable for multiple Windows applications and databases. Windows Shared Hosting carries a 99.95% uptime commitment, providing a slightly stronger SLA than the standard Linux plans.

Reseller customers can also choose between several platforms. Linux DirectAdmin reseller hosting includes white-label private nameservers, CloudLinux isolation, SSL, Softaculous and account-management tools. cPanel reseller hosting provides WHM for creating and managing individual cPanel accounts. Windows reseller plans use Plesk Reseller Administrator together with MSSQL, ASP.NET support, webmail and private nameservers. Linux reseller hosting includes a 99.9% SLA, while Windows reseller hosting uses 99.95%.

The Node X Virtual Cloud platform is based on KVM virtualization and gives Linux customers full root and SSH access. Configurations start with relatively small CPU and RAM allocations and scale into substantially larger virtual servers with dozens of gigabytes of memory and high storage quotas. DDoS filtering, backup options and optional cPanel/WHM or DirectAdmin licensing are available. Windows Virtual Cloud servers provide Administrator access over RDP together with IIS, ASP.NET, MSSQL and optional Plesk. Linux virtual cloud services carry a 99.9% uptime SLA, while Windows configurations use 99.95%.

Dedicated servers are available for both Linux and Windows workloads, with Intel processors, ECC memory and SATA or SSD storage. Network connectivity varies according to configuration, with ports extending into gigabit-class service. The platform includes anti-DDoS protection, monitoring, remote reboot and reinstallation capabilities, redundant network connectivity and protected power infrastructure. Dedicated-server services have a 99.9% network SLA.

WP Canvas is the company's managed WordPress platform. It combines Plesk Obsidian, NGINX caching, NVMe storage, Redis, automated daily backups, WordPress Toolkit, staging functionality and security hardening. Integration with Cloudflare adds CDN and performance capabilities. Separate cloud-oriented WordPress configurations provide dedicated CPU and RAM resources for customers needing more predictable performance than conventional shared hosting.

Developers have additional specialized hosting options. Node.js Hosting supports multiple Node.js versions, NPM package management, cPanel, MySQL and external MongoDB connectivity. Python Hosting supports common frameworks including Django and Flask, together with cPanel, MySQL, SSL and automated backup functionality. Both product families include a 99.9% uptime guarantee.

Startup Hosting is aimed at very small websites and new projects. It combines NVMe storage, bandwidth, professional email accounts, MySQL, Softaculous, free SSL and backups in a low-cost package. CloudLinux account isolation and hardware RAID help keep this entry-level service closer to a conventional commercial hosting environment than a basic free-hosting package.

Managed n8n Hosting is one of the more distinctive products in the catalog. n8n is pre-installed and combined with dedicated cloud resources, dedicated IP addressing, application maintenance, operating-system security updates and backups. The range scales from small two-vCPU servers to considerably larger configurations with additional processors, memory and storage. This platform also carries a 99.9% SLA.

Domain services include new registrations, transfers, DNS management, domain locking and email forwarding across a large selection of extensions. Security options extend beyond free SSL, with commercial SSL certificates, SiteLock, CodeGuard and Cloudflare services available separately. CodeGuard adds scheduled website and database backup with restoration capabilities, while SiteLock provides malware and vulnerability scanning.

Business Email is available as an independent service and includes branded mailboxes, anti-spam protection, webmail and mobile access. Higher-level email functionality includes contacts, calendars and task-management capabilities.

The website operates primarily in English, while products can be displayed and purchased in INR, USD and EUR. This gives Indian customers local pricing while keeping the catalog accessible to international customers. The overall interface is functional and substantially modernized, although some deeper product and security sections still retain an older visual style.
