📄 Editorial Review

G-SERVER is a Slovenian web hosting and IT provider based in Lesce, operating through G-SERVER storitve in trgovina d.o.o. The company was established in 2007, giving it a long operating history in the Slovenian hosting market. Primož Barbo is the director and majority owner, while Maja Barbo holds a minority ownership interest. G-SERVER also participates in Slovenia's domain industry as a registrar for .SI domains.

The service portfolio goes well beyond basic shared hosting. Customers can choose from cPanel hosting, WordPress hosting, reseller hosting, email hosting, Windows/ASP hosting, VPS, VMware private cloud, domain registration, DNS services, SSL certificates, website-building tools and security-related services. Additional services include CodeGuard, monitoring products, VPN-related services and other website tools.

Linux shared hosting uses cPanel and is divided into Economy, Premium, Business, Enterprise and Professional packages. Storage allocations range from around 2 GB to 40 GB, while supported domains increase from a small number on entry packages to as many as 100 domains on the Professional plan. The packages include features such as unlimited traffic, SSL certificates, CDN functionality, free website migration, a site builder and one-click software installation. The server environment includes CloudLinux, Imunify360, PHP, MariaDB, Nginx and Apache.

WordPress hosting combines LiteSpeed with LSCache, making it a stronger option for customers running WordPress-based websites. WordPress installations also benefit from WAF protection, automated software management and migration assistance. Softaculous provides access to hundreds of applications and simplifies installation and updates for WordPress, Joomla and other popular web software.

Reseller hosting gives web designers, developers and agencies a straightforward way to manage multiple customer accounts. The GReseller Mikro, Mini and Medium packages provide roughly 10 GB to 25 GB of storage, while domains and data transfer are not tightly restricted. SSL, CDN, migration assistance, a website builder and application installation are included.

Dedicated email hosting is available separately from ordinary website hosting. Depending on the package, customers can manage multiple or unlimited domains and mailboxes. Security and authentication features include SPF, DKIM and DMARC, together with spam filtering. Shared calendars, mailing lists, reminders, file sharing and webmail functionality are also available.

Windows users have a separate ASP hosting environment managed through Plesk. These plans support technologies such as MSSQL and are suitable for customers requiring a Microsoft-oriented hosting platform rather than standard Linux/PHP hosting.

The VPS range provides root access and starts with relatively small virtual machines before moving into more capable business configurations. Control-panel options include DirectAdmin and cPanel, depending on the plan and configuration. Customers comfortable with Linux administration can also use VPS services without a commercial control panel.

For more complex virtualization requirements, VMware private cloud provides several virtual machines, internal networking, backup functionality and higher-availability configurations. One private-cloud configuration includes capacity for up to five virtual systems, 12 GB RAM, 200 GB storage, a 1 Gbit/s connection and five IP addresses.

The website is primarily in Slovenian, with localized content also available in English, Croatian, Italian and Farsi. Prices are mainly displayed in EUR. Some translated areas contain inconsistent wording or unfinished localization, and several product areas retain older formatting. The overall design is functional but noticeably dated compared with newer hosting portals, while a few catalog entries contain malformed values that make checking the final shopping-cart price important before payment.
