FranceServ Hébergement is a small, owner-led French hosting provider run as a micro-enterprise from Dole (Jura) and active in hosting since 2010, with its roots going back to a first domain and early free hosting activity in 2004. The business is driven by its founder, Élodie Bossier, who still appears as the visible contact and technical lead across the platform. Rather than trying to look like a big anonymous cloud operator, FranceServ feels like a local, specialist host that prefers to keep the infrastructure compact, well-controlled, and close to home.

The portfolio is deliberately focused on shared Linux hosting with PHP/MySQL and domain services, not on a wide range of products. The four main hosting plans are Offre Découverte, Offre Standard, Offre Pro, and Offre Max, all using Apache with IPv4/IPv6 support, unlimited hosted domains and subdomains, and unmetered web traffic. Storage is split between FTP, mail, and MySQL space, scaling from very small allocations in the free trial up to several terabytes of FTP storage and large MySQL and mail quotas on the top plan. Across all tiers, customers get MariaDB databases, mailboxes with IMAP/POP/SMTP, Roundcube webmail, and optional mailing lists via Mailman3 on the higher plans.

Technically, the platform is surprisingly rich for a mutualized host of this size. PHP is available in many versions from 5.6 up to the latest 8.x branches via PHP-FPM, with a chrooted environment, IonCube loader, opcode caching, FFmpeg tools, ImageMagick, and Memcache support. Script limits (execution time and memory) increase with the plan level, which makes the higher tiers suitable for heavier CMS or e-commerce sites. There is full DNS management, access to detailed AWStats statistics, web server logs, FTP logs, and PHP sendmail() logs, which appeals to technically inclined users who like to see what is happening under the hood.

FranceServ also pays attention to security and resilience. All plans include Let’s Encrypt and custom SSL support, daily antivirus scans on FTP, a network firewall with IP geo-blocking and WAF rules, and a layered anti-DDoS setup combining Arbor devices at the data center level with local HTTP flood protection. Backups are run daily and can be downloaded, with historical copies kept for up to several weeks (and in some cases up to 30 days). For many small hosts these are add-ons; here they are standard features.

On top of raw hosting, FranceServ offers domain registration and transfer for a range of TLDs, plus a "site in 1 click" environment that uses a Softaculous-style installer for popular applications such as WordPress, Joomla, PrestaShop, WHMCS, and many others. This makes it possible to deploy a complete site without touching manual installation procedures, while still keeping full access to the underlying FTP and database environment.

The overall impression is of a small but very complete shared-hosting platform, where a single provider takes responsibility for everything: network, servers, security, support, and billing. It is not a "cloud" in the marketing sense, but it gives technically solid shared hosting with fine-grained control for people who want a French-based, independent alternative to the global giants.
