Fluid Hosting is a long-running U.S. hosting provider established in 2001. The business originally operated as Fluid Hosting LLC in Pennsylvania, while current contractual documents identify Host 80 LLC, a Wyoming company, as the legal operator using Fluid Hosting as a trade name. The main corporate identity also includes Host 80 Solutions LLC. David Tong has been associated with Fluid Hosting management for many years, including as a management contact for the business.

The company has evolved well beyond traditional shared hosting and now combines Linux Shared Hosting, Windows Shared Hosting, Linux Reseller Hosting, Windows Reseller Hosting, Cloud Containers, KVM VPS, Private Cloud, Ultimate Privacy Servers, domain registration, SSL certificates, backup services and server administration. Dedicated servers remain covered by the contractual terms, although they are not currently one of the main products offered through the standard hosting catalog. The service is primarily aimed at English-speaking customers, with pricing in US dollars (USD).

Shared hosting uses a cloud architecture rather than relying on a conventional single-server environment. Linux and Windows hosting both use Plesk, high-availability infrastructure and distributed storage. Linux accounts combine CloudLinux, Apache, NGINX, PHP and MySQL, while Windows hosting supports Microsoft Windows Server, MSSQL, PHP, ASP and ASP.NET. Packages range from small single-domain accounts with 1 GB storage to larger plans supporting as many as 50 domains, 100 GB storage and 1 TB of monthly traffic. SSL support is included.

The reseller range follows the same Linux and Windows structure and uses Plesk for account administration. Resellers can create independent customer accounts, define hosting packages and pricing, and provide customers with their own access for websites, databases, DNS and email management. Linux reseller packages scale from 5 Plesk accounts and 20 hosted domains to 50 accounts and 200 domains, with equivalent Windows reseller options available.

For customers who need greater system control, Fluid Hosting operates both Cloud Containers and KVM virtual servers. Cloud Containers use Virtuozzo (virtuozzo.com) container virtualization and support operating systems including AlmaLinux, Debian, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux and VzLinux. Entry configurations provide 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 40 GB storage. CPU and memory operate on a fair-share model rather than as completely isolated dedicated resources. These systems are delivered without a web hosting control panel, making SSH and console administration the normal management methods unless additional management is arranged.

Backup disk capacity is included with Cloud Containers, but automated container backups are not configured by default, so customers need to create and maintain their own backup strategy.

The KVM VPS platform provides stronger resource isolation and dedicated virtual-machine allocations. Current configurations begin with 2 vCPU, 6 GB RAM, 60 GB SSD storage and 1 TB monthly traffic and scale to 8 vCPU, 24 GB RAM, 240 GB SSD storage and 4 TB traffic. High availability and distributed storage are included, while the current VPS configurations also include a Plesk license. Linux and Windows Server installations are supported, and managed VPS arrangements are available separately.

Private Cloud is the highest-level infrastructure product. It is based on Virtuozzo Hybrid Server and combines container virtualization, KVM virtual machines and software-defined storage. Resource allocations start with 10 Xeon CPU units, 40 GB RAM and 500 GB SSD storage and reach 80 CPU units, 320 GB RAM and 4 TB SSD. The environment uses N+1 high availability, three-copy distributed storage and physically separate public, private and backup 10 Gbps networks.

Private Cloud infrastructure management covers the physical platform and virtualization layer, while customers remain responsible for administration inside their own virtual machines and containers unless an additional managed service is arranged.

A more specialized part of the portfolio is Ultimate Privacy Servers. These single-tenant KVM environments combine private hosting resources with communication services such as email, calendar, XMPP, private chat, audio calls and video calls. Configurations range from 4 vCPU, 12 GB RAM and 200 GB SSD storage to 12 vCPU, 32 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD. The platform is suited to organizations wanting tighter control over internal communications and hosted data.

Fluid Hosting also provides domain registration and transfers. A .com domain is available at approximately $14.95 for registration or transfer and $15.95 for renewal, alongside many generic and country-code extensions. SSL choices include free Let's Encrypt certificates through Plesk hosting accounts and commercial certificates such as PositiveSSL, InstantSSL Pro and wildcard SSL.

Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting and VPS customers receive daily backups with seven-day retention. Standard restore requests cost $15, while complete VPS restoration from a retained VPS snapshot costs $25. Dedicated Server and Private Cloud customers can add backup service separately. Maintaining a separate independent backup remains advisable, particularly for business-critical data.
