Starter is the entry commercial tier and is only available to new customers. It includes the full platform across the eight major capability areas without the heaviest enterprise features. The allocation includes 10 Full Users, 50 System Users, 2 Outbound Connections, 1 TB of monthly combined storage and transfer usage, SFTP/FTP/WebDAV inbound and outbound access, automations, sync flows, inboxes, share links, API/CLI/SDK access, 2 automation or data sync flows, 100M transformation and AI credits, 1 maximum flow executing at a time, 50,000 daily transactions/API calls, a 60-minute maximum sync frequency for scheduled push and pull jobs, maximum 1 week log retention, support by email/chat/phone, and basic onboarding and migration assistance. Add-ons include $12 per Full User per month, $4 per System User per month, $50 per outbound connection per month, $100 per additional TB per month or $0.10/GB with volume pricing down to $0.03/GB, $25 per additional automation or sync flow per month with volume pricing down to $2/month, and transformation credits at $0.10 per 1M. The monthly rate is $199/month, while the annual rate is $2,099/year and gives the lower effective cost. The plan can select one storage region. Base Starter does not include the On-Premise Agent allocation, AS2, custom domain with dedicated IP, customer-provided GPG encryption, SIEM integration, full SLA coverage, HIPAA BAA, DORA addendum, multiple separate environments, 24/7 strategic support, or full onboarding and migration assistance.

Files.com is a cloud-native file orchestration and managed file transfer platform that combines SFTP, FTP, FTPS, WebDAV, API, CLI, SDKs, browser file management, desktop drive access, mobile access, automation, sync flows, file requests, inboxes, secure share links, and document collaboration. The service replaces isolated MFT servers, file-sharing silos, and fragile scripts with one governed file fabric. Users and automated systems can exchange files through traditional protocols while administrators keep centralized governance, audit logs, encryption, access policies, retention controls, and integration visibility. The web file manager supports uploading, downloading, previews, metadata, sharing, public hosted folders, search inside folders, online editing and co-editing for supported office documents, and operational history. Secure sharing can use branded share pages, live or snapshot links, upload permissions, passwords, expiration policies, domain restrictions, preview-only access, watermarking, clickwrap acceptance, and audit trails. File sync can push, pull, two-way mirror, or mount content across more than 50 systems, including cloud object stores, collaboration suites, SFTP/FTP/WebDAV endpoints, and on-premises storage through the Files.com Agent. Automations can create folders, move or copy files, request files, run syncs, trigger on uploads, poll remote systems, send notifications, or chain steps into larger workflows. Security includes encryption at rest and in transit, TLS features, two-factor authentication support, role-based permissions, file integrity checksums, geographic access controls, logging, SSO on supported tiers, and data governance features for retention, restore, legal hold, archive-only controls, and backups through sync to other storage locations. Storage regions are available in the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and Singapore, with regional routing and global acceleration settings available to align performance and residency needs. Billing uses a 30-day usage period, and included usage combines storage and transfer. Extra usage, users, outbound connections, flows, agent capacity, and transformation credits can add overage or add-on fees depending on the plan and agreement. Accounts can pay by credit card or PayPal, and annual prepayment can also support mailed check and bank-transfer style methods.
