fc-hosting.de is a German owner-operated web hosting provider active since 2005, based in Neustadt am Rübenberge, Lower Saxony. The business is operated by Dipl.-Ing. Uwe Flottemesch and has developed around technically managed hosting services with a particularly long-standing focus on Joomla! and WordPress websites.

The company concentrates mainly on German-speaking customers. Its website, ordering process and support environment are primarily in German, and no complete English localization exists. Services are priced in EUR, making the platform particularly suitable for customers in Germany and other German-speaking European markets.

The current portfolio covers Shared Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Managed Cloud Servers, Domains, SOGo Groupware, Email Hosting, Email Archiving, Email Firewall, SSL Certificates, hosting extensions and migration services. A limited free-hosting option is also available for qualifying users. At the higher end, fc-hosting.de concentrates on fully managed Linux cloud servers rather than conventional unmanaged VPS products.

The NVMe Shared Hosting range includes Mini, Basis, Expert, Profi and Business packages. Storage extends from 4 GB to 200 GB NVMe SSD, with traffic included. Depending on the package, customers receive databases, email mailboxes, domain aliases, PHP resources, Let's Encrypt SSL certificates, backups, cron jobs and SSH access.

PHP versions can be selected individually for domains and subdomains, which is useful when operating several applications with different compatibility requirements. The environment includes OPcache, HTTP/2, gzip compression and ionCube, together with MariaDB/MySQL, phpMyAdmin, AWStats, file management and an application installer.

The hosting environment remains particularly well suited to CMS installations. WordPress, Joomla!, TYPO3 and other common applications can be installed through the integrated software installer, and one script installation is included for new accounts. Customers moving an existing website can also use a free website migration service, covering website files, database transfer and basic adaptation of the application to the new database environment.

Security is handled through several layers, including spam and virus filtering, HTTPS certificates, backups and controls designed to limit suspicious login activity. SSH access requires activation and can be restricted by source IP, reducing exposure for customers who only need shell access from known networks.

Reseller Hosting is aimed at agencies, developers and customers managing multiple independent hosting accounts. The AG plans include separated customer accounts, white-label administration, NVMe storage, traffic flat rate, SSL allocations and access to an integrated domain robot. Resellers can customize the interface with their own logo, while larger server customers can apply additional branding through custom CSS.

The domain robot supports more than 400 TLDs and includes real-time registration, four nameservers, DNS administration, DNSSEC for most supported extensions, IDN handling, transfer management and bulk operations. This makes the reseller platform useful for agencies that want hosting and domain management within the same system.

The Managed Cloud Server range is divided into ECO and PRO families. ECO systems use shared vCores and currently scale from 4 AMD vCores, 8 GB RAM and 160 GB NVMe storage to 16 vCores, 32 GB RAM and 640 GB NVMe. PRO systems use dedicated vCores and extend to configurations with 48 vCores, 192 GB RAM and 960 GB NVMe.

These servers use Linux with KVM virtualization and include server management, DDoS protection, SSH access and SSL support. Additional highly available SSD volumes can be attached when more storage is required.

Full management is an important part of the server service. fc-hosting.de handles monitoring, system updates and server-side maintenance, including intervention for overload conditions, spam, security incidents and compromised websites. The result is closer to a managed hosting environment than a basic self-administered VPS.

Email services are another strong part of the portfolio. SOGo Groupware Hosting combines email with calendars, address books, tasks and synchronization through CalDAV and CardDAV. It can be ordered independently, combined with web hosting or operated on managed cloud infrastructure for larger organizations.

SOGo includes configurable spam filtering, quarantine, DKIM, ARC, server-side filtering, mailbox quotas, temporary email addresses, IMAP synchronization jobs and browser-based access. Standalone plans range from Team5 through Team100, providing between 5 and 100 mailboxes and 10 GB to 100 GB of storage.

For organizations that need stronger mail filtering, the optional Email Firewall adds reputation filtering, quarantine and multiple malware scanning engines. Some configurations combine Cisco IronPort/Talos technology with Sophos and McAfee scanning. A 14-day free test period is available for this service.

Business customers can also use GoBD-compliant email archiving with tamper-resistant retention, indexing, search and recovery. The archiving service also comes with a 14-day free trial, making it particularly relevant for German companies with statutory email-retention obligations.

Older Hosted Exchange products remain part of the company's historical service documentation but are closed to new contracts. Current email development is centered on SOGo, standalone mailbox hosting, archiving and filtering services.

Domain registration can be used independently of hosting. More than 400 extensions are supported, while reseller and server customers can access the domain robot for more extensive administration. DNS records can point to external hosting and mail systems, so customers are not forced to keep all services on the same platform.

SSL support includes Let's Encrypt as well as commercial Sectigo certificates. Hosting packages include Let's Encrypt certificates, while additional DV and OV certificates can be purchased separately.
