Domains remain the core of the business. The platform supports a wide range of TLDs, bulk domain search and registration, portfolio management tools, forwarding, DNS hosting, and WHOIS privacy at no extra charge via its privacy brand Anonymize.com. Domain investors get extra functionality such as marketplace listings, escrow, and the "Name Liquidate" system for discounted expiring domains, so the service clearly targets both regular site owners and people managing larger portfolios.

For years it was widely known for taking on controversial and far-right clients that other providers had dropped, and in 2021 it suffered a very large data breach that exposed extensive customer and backend information. Under new ownership the company now claims to be refocusing on small businesses and entrepreneurs, and public statements stress user safety and stricter policies against abusive content. Even so, the legacy of that period and the breach is well documented and still influences how many technically minded users view the brand.

For future web-hosting customers, this combination makes Epik feel like a high-convenience but higher-risk option.
