Domain investors get extra functionality such as marketplace listings, escrow, and the "Name Liquidate" system for discounted expiring domains, so the service clearly targets both regular site owners and people managing larger portfolios.

Under new ownership the company now claims to be refocusing on small businesses and entrepreneurs, and public statements stress user safety and stricter policies against abusive content. Even so, the legacy of that period and the breach is well documented and still influences how many technically minded users view the brand.

For future web-hosting customers, this combination makes Epik feel like a high-convenience but higher-risk option.
