Entorno Digital, S.A.U. is a Spanish domain registrar, hosting, cloud, email, cybersecurity and digital-brand-protection company headquartered in Cerdanyola del Vallès, Barcelona. Founded in 1997, the company has developed a portfolio aimed primarily at businesses, agencies and organizations that value direct technical assistance and managed services. Entorno works with more than 6,000 customers and manages over 50,000 domains, while its team is relatively compact compared with the large international hosting groups.

Domain registration remains one of Entorno's strongest areas. The company is an ICANN-accredited registrar and also maintains direct or official accreditation relationships with organizations such as ESNIC, EURid, Fundació puntCAT and AFNIC. More than 1,000 domain extensions are available, including over 300 country-code extensions, conventional generic domains, newer gTLDs and decentralized Web3 names.

Domain customers receive DNS management and can combine registrations with hosting, email and security services. More specialized corporate-domain services include automatic renewals, WHOIS-related administration, monitoring of abandoned or expired domains, Trademark Clearinghouse services, Domain Alert, domain blocking, anti-phishing protection and domain-recovery assistance through negotiation, UDRP proceedings or legal action.

Entorno also covers Web3 and blockchain-related domain names, including extensions such as .crypto, .nft, .wallet, .dao and .bitcoin. This is complemented by a substantial corporate brand-protection portfolio. Guardian Anti-counterfeiting can be used to identify counterfeit products and unauthorized use of trademarks across websites, applications and social networks, while Guardian Cybersecurity focuses on suspicious domain registrations, fraudulent websites, phishing and misuse of company identities or content. Additional protection mechanisms include Uni EPS, DPML, AdultBlock and GlobalBlock.

Traditional web hosting is available through four Shared Cloud Hosting levels. Basic Hosting Free includes 120 MB SSD storage, 1 GB of monthly traffic and one mailbox. Presence increases this to 5 GB SSD storage, 10 GB traffic and five mailboxes. Advanced provides 10 GB SSD storage, 20 GB traffic, 10 mailboxes, databases, PHP and WordPress support, while Professional increases the allocation to 20 GB SSD storage, 30 GB traffic and 20 mailboxes.

All shared hosting plans use Plesk Obsidian. Customers can manage domains, DNS, FTP access, files, email accounts, databases and usage statistics through the same interface. Email functionality includes webmail, POP3, IMAP, aliases and autoresponders, together with SpamAssassin filtering and Dr.Web antivirus protection.

PHP support covers versions from 7.4 through 8.3, making the service suitable for both older applications and more recent PHP projects. Advanced and Professional plans support PHP/MySQL applications and can run WordPress, PrestaShop, Magento and other common CMS or e-commerce software. Free website migration is available when transferring an existing site to Entorno.

Hosting security includes ImunifyAV for malware and virus detection, suspicious-behavior monitoring and security alerts. Daily backup options are also available, with Premium Entorno backup copies retained for one week and restoration available when required.

Managed WordPress Hosting is offered separately in Advanced and Professional configurations. The Advanced package includes 10 GB SSD storage, 20 GB monthly traffic and 10 mailboxes, while Professional includes 20 GB SSD storage, 30 GB traffic and 20 mailboxes. WordPress comes preinstalled, WooCommerce is supported, SSL protection is available, migration is included and daily backups can be retained for one week. Telephone assistance from Spain is another useful feature for customers preferring direct support rather than relying entirely on a ticket system.

Entorno's Cloud services are more flexible than its shared-hosting packages. Customers can configure resources around RAM, disk capacity, Linux with AlmaLinux or Windows, firewall and VPN requirements, IPsec connectivity, external backup and optional Plesk licensing. Plesk Admin, Pro and Host editions are available depending on the number of domains and accounts that must be managed.

Cloud infrastructure can be expanded vertically by adding resources to an existing server or horizontally through additional systems. Entorno can also take responsibility for software installation, migration, security configuration and ongoing administration, making this service particularly suitable for companies that want managed infrastructure instead of an unmanaged virtual server.

The cloud platform uses hyperconverged infrastructure with vSAN-based storage virtualization and high-availability mechanisms. Backup and disaster-recovery configurations can be adapted to individual projects, including redundant storage, automated backup and replication between separate geographic locations when required. Security options include firewalls, encrypted connections, antivirus, vulnerability management, VPN access and continuous monitoring.

Business email is available using IMAP, POP3, SMTP and webmail, accompanied by professional AntiSpam and AntiPhishing protection. Entorno also supplies and supports Google Workspace and Microsoft Office 365, giving business customers the option to combine traditional hosting with cloud productivity platforms.

The professional AntiSpam service can protect email even when the customer's actual mail server is hosted elsewhere. Its filtering covers spam, malware, phishing, spyware and denial-of-service attacks. A one-month free trial is available without commitment.

SSL/TLS certificates form another substantial part of the portfolio. Domain Validation, Organization Validation and Extended Validation certificates are available, together with wildcard options and products from several certification authorities including GlobalSign.

For organizations managing many certificates, CertGuardian CLM provides centralized Certificate Lifecycle Management. The system can inventory certificates, generate requests, automate renewals through ACME, agents or APIs, automate deployment, create expiration alerts and retain activity logs for auditing. It supports Windows and Linux environments, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, public cloud services, virtualization platforms, web servers, firewalls, load balancers, IoT devices and internal or external PKI environments. Shared SaaS and dedicated Cloud or on-premises deployments are available.

DNS security is another area where Entorno goes beyond conventional hosting. DNS Anycast Plus/Premium distributes DNS traffic across geographically separated systems to improve availability and resistance to DDoS attacks. Additional protections address DNS spoofing, cache poisoning and DNS hijacking.

Entorno works with information-security processes aligned with ISO 27001, covering continuity, confidentiality, integrity, authentication, traceability, risk management and access control. Its security framework also supports GDPR and LOPDGDD compliance requirements and can accommodate Spain's National Security Scheme requirements where applicable.
