eName (ename.com) is a long-established Chinese domain registrar, domain marketplace and domain-asset services company operated by Xiamen eName Technology Co., Ltd. The primary website is ename.com, while ename.net works as an important secondary service domain for domain registration and management, account administration, financial operations, SSL certificates, Cloud DNS and other value-added services. Both domains belong to the same eName ecosystem and complement each other rather than operating as separate providers.

The company was founded in May 2005 in Xiamen by Kong Dejing (孔德菁). It developed from a specialist domain-name business into a broader Internet and intellectual-property services organization. A shareholding reform followed in 2015, and the company was listed on China's New Third Board in August 2016 under stock code 838413.

Domain names remain the center of the business. eName became a CNNIC-certified top-level domain registrar in 2005 and obtained ICANN registrar accreditation in 2006. The eName ecosystem has handled more than 10 million domain registrations, giving the company substantial scale within the Chinese domain market.

Cloud DNS works with DNS.com technology and infrastructure. eName also uses ns1.ename.net and ns2.ename.net within its DNS environment. Paid DNS packages require customers to use the designated DNS infrastructure for the commercial routing, performance and protection features to become active.

SSL certificates cover single-domain, multi-domain and wildcard requirements. Available validation levels include DV, OV, OV Pro, EV and EV Pro. Certificate brands include TrustAsia, Certum, GeoTrust and GlobalSign. SHA-256 signing and 2048-bit encryption are supported, together with online certificate management and CSR-related tools.

The wider company also works with trademarks, patents, copyright services and other forms of intellectual-property administration. Related services include intellectual-property consulting, ICP licensing assistance and EDI-related services, making eName particularly relevant for Chinese businesses that want domains and other Internet-related intellectual-property services within the same organization.
