eDIY Software is a New Zealand web hosting, website-builder and web-design company based in Christchurch. The legal entity, eDIY Software Limited, was registered on December 17, 1998, under company number 938255 and NZBN 9429037698744. Development of the proprietary eDIY Website Builder followed in 1999. Stephen John Power is a director of the company, while ownership is divided equally between Stephen John Power and Michael Glaser.

This makes eDIY one of the longer-established New Zealand website-platform businesses. Its service model is different from a conventional hosting provider built around generic shared hosting accounts. The main portfolio combines Website Builder, Web Hosting, eCommerce Hosting, Email Hosting, Domain Registration, Website Design, Website Migration and Reseller services around eDIY's proprietary content-management platform.

The newer eDIY Website + eCommerce service starts with five products and five pages and can be expanded with additional pages, products, bulk email and other functions. The system covers responsive website editing, SEO tools, visitor statistics, blogs, customer databases, restricted-access areas, inventory management, order processing and bulk email campaigns.

The traditional hosting catalog contains four main plans. Home 20 supports up to 20 content pages and suits clubs, families and nonprofit organizations. Page 100 expands capacity to 100 pages for business and organizational websites. Shop 100 adds shopping-cart functionality and support for up to 100 products, while Shop 1000 raises the catalog capacity to 1,000 products. These packages include website statistics, templates, content-management functions and communication tools, with unlimited traffic included in the package specifications.

The eCommerce environment is more capable than a very simple online-store builder. It includes retail and trade pricing, multiple currencies, product variants, shipping controls, customer accounts, shopping carts, stock management, Internet banking, credit-card payments and PayPal. Businesses can also use downloadable PDF catalogs, customer registration, restricted content, newsletters and integrated order-management functions.

Domain registration and transfers are available separately. The current range includes .nz, .co.nz, .com, .net and several additional extensions, while existing domains and websites can be transferred to eDIY as part of a migration.

Smartmail Email Hosting operates as a separate service with webmail access, POP3 support, aliases, forwarding, autoresponders, spam filtering and virus protection. Higher-capacity mailbox options are available for customers requiring more storage.

A reseller program is also available, although it functions more like a service-partner arrangement than conventional reseller hosting. eDIY handles billing and customer support while the reseller earns commission from qualifying annual website-builder subscriptions.

The portfolio does not include conventional VPS, cloud server or dedicated server products. The service is therefore best understood as a hosted website and eCommerce platform rather than general-purpose server infrastructure.
