Drávanet is a Hungarian internet, telecommunications and server-infrastructure provider whose operational history began in September 1996 with Drávanet Internet Szolgáltató Kft. in Pécs. The present joint-stock company was established in 2000, so the two dates represent different stages of the same business: 1996 marks the beginning of operations, while 2000 is the incorporation year of Drávanet Zrt.

The company is 100% Hungarian-owned and operates from Pécs. It initially became one of the most important internet providers in southern Transdanubia before extending its services across Hungary. Its expansion included the acquisition of TvNetwork’s ADSL customer base in 2010, the integration of IceDSL and Fraktál, and the transfer of most internet, telephone, server and associated customer contracts from EnterNet 2001 and EQNet in February 2017.

Drávanet serves companies, public institutions, municipalities, internet providers and organizations that require managed connectivity and telecommunications infrastructure. Its portfolio includes leased-line internet, OfficeLink fiber access, server colocation, virtual private servers, Virtual Office infrastructure, domain registration, business email, SIP trunks, virtual telephone exchanges, cloud call centers, unified communications, wholesale internet access, voice transit, VPN connectivity, website development and web hosting.

The business is relatively compact compared with its service range and infrastructure. Company figures for 2025 indicate approximately 13 employees, annual revenue of around HUF 839.8 million and an after-tax result of roughly HUF 44.5 million. Dunay Rezső is the chief executive, with Papp Zsombor Attila and Ronczyk József Tamás also associated with the company’s management.

OfficeLink is a dedicated business internet service available in almost 150 office buildings in Budapest. Connections are symmetric, traffic is unlimited and the contracted bandwidth is reserved for the customer rather than shared with residential users. Access speeds can reach 1 Gbps, with delivery over fiber or UTP cabling according to the building and technical requirements. Contracts normally run for one or two years, and customers receive a dedicated account manager.

Organizations outside the OfficeLink footprint can use nationwide leased-line internet delivered through fiber or microwave connections. These services include symmetric bandwidth, unlimited data transfer, continuous network supervision and a minimum annual availability commitment of 99.5%. They can be deployed as a primary corporate connection or as a redundant backup for another internet service.

The VPS platform includes one fixed public IPv4 address, a 100 Mbit/s connection and unlimited traffic. The standard configurations provide either one processor core, 1 GB RAM and 50 GB storage, or two processor cores, 4 GB RAM and 100 GB storage. Operating-system and application installation can also be handled by Drávanet, making the service suitable for organizations that want a managed virtual server instead of administering the complete environment internally.

Physical server hosting is offered as a colocation service for customer-owned or leased equipment. Servers are installed in conditioned machine rooms with redundant electricity, monitored infrastructure and domestic and international network connectivity. The standard allocation accommodates a 2U server or one shelf position and includes up to 250 watts of UPS-backed power, one public IPv4 address, unlimited data traffic and a maximum 100 Mbit/s connection with 10 Mbit/s guaranteed bandwidth.

The Virtual Office packages combine several business IT services under one contract. Depending on the selected level, customers receive web hosting, a basic company website, business email accounts, virtual-server resources, file storage, VPN access, automated backups and public IPv4 connectivity. The smallest package includes 1 GB of web space, five mailboxes and a VPS with one processor core, 2 GB RAM and 100 GB storage. Larger plans increase the web, email and virtual-server resources, with storage reaching as much as 1 TB.

Drávanet is not structured as a conventional mass-market shared-hosting provider. Its website hosting is mainly connected to Virtual Office subscriptions, customized business arrangements and website-development projects rather than a large catalog of Linux hosting, Windows hosting, reseller hosting and instant dedicated-server plans.

Website development is also available through the Demján Sándor "Every Business Should Have Its Own Website" initiative. The basic package includes a WordPress website, a domain registered for two years, as many as 50 mailboxes, 5 GB hosting, SSL protection, Wordfence security, a contact form, a blog and responsive design.

The larger website package adds search-engine optimization, multilingual content, daily backups, multifactor authentication, CAPTCHA protection, an online store with up to 50 products and social-media services. New applications for the subsidized program are closed because the available funding was exhausted, although previously approved vouchers can still be redeemed.

Telecommunications remain a major part of the company’s operation. SIP-CON provides SIP trunks, number portability, scalable voice channels and per-second billing for companies that already operate their own telephone system. EXTEN provides centrally managed telephone-exchange functions through a web interface, including extension management, call groups, restrictions, recording and fax-to-email features.

The cloud-based virtual PBX removes the need for a physical telephone exchange and supports employees working from offices, branch locations or home. Its related Virtual Call Center includes incoming and outgoing call management, IVR menus, skill-based routing, call recording, live supervision, real-time statistics, operator softphones and communication through telephone, email, chat and SMS.

ExpertCall is the most advanced communications platform in the portfolio. It consolidates telephone calls, email, fax, SMS, social communication and chat in a unified contact-center environment. Installations can operate on local servers, Drávanet infrastructure, Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services. Compatible databases include Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL, while CRM integration is available for customized enterprise deployments.

Domain registration is available for .hu, .eu, .net, .com, .org and .at. Secure email access uses POP3 over port 995, IMAP over port 993 and SMTP over port 465. SPF, DKIM and DMARC configuration guidance is available for customers who use their own domains with Drávanet mail services.

The main website is primarily available in Hungarian. An English section exists, but it contains a general company and service overview rather than a complete translated ordering system, technical knowledge base and set of commercial documents. Hungarian remains necessary for most ordering, contractual and support-related activities.

All standard prices are shown in Hungarian forints. The main website retains a traditional desktop-oriented structure, while the newer website-development area uses a more contemporary responsive layout. Product information is divided between the principal Drávanet website, the Virtual Office website and the website-development portal, which makes the service range less convenient to navigate than a unified modern hosting storefront.
