DM Solutions is an independent German web hosting and IT services provider based in Hanau, Hesse. The company was founded in 2005 by Danijel Mlinarevic, initially as a one-person business. Joomla played an important role in its beginnings, as the lack of suitable hosting for the then-new CMS led Mlinarevic to build a hosting service around the requirements of open-source applications. The business later developed into DM Solutions GmbH, with Mlinarevic as managing shareholder, and remains independently financed. Today, it serves more than 6,000 customers from 30 EU countries.

Its product range is much broader than conventional shared hosting. DM Solutions provides SSD Webhosting, HDD hosting, WordPress hosting, Joomla hosting, Contao hosting, reseller packages, virtual servers, managed virtual servers, dedicated servers, managed servers, domains, Hosted Exchange, SSL certificates, application hosting, web design, SEO and technical services.

The standard SSD Webhosting range uses NVMe storage and includes traffic without a fixed transfer allowance, SSL certificates, email hosting and account management through Plesk. Larger plans increase storage, database capacity and the number of domains that can be hosted. Current SSD packages range from entry-level accounts suitable for a small website to considerably larger Premium configurations with hundreds of gigabytes of storage. Shared SSD hosting carries a 99.9% availability figure.

HDD hosting remains available for customers who need relatively large storage allocations at a lower cost and do not require the same disk performance as NVMe. This can make sense for mail-heavy accounts, archives, image collections and less resource-intensive websites.

CMS users receive a particularly strong range of specialized packages. WordPress Hosting, Joomla Hosting and Contao Hosting run on hosting environments tailored to their respective software and include installation assistance, SSL and Plesk management. WordPress and Joomla customers can additionally purchase maintenance, update and security services when they prefer to have application-level work handled for them.

A 7-day free hosting test account is available, giving customers an opportunity to test the hosting environment before committing to a paid package.

The application-hosting portfolio extends well beyond the main CMS platforms. E-commerce users can choose hosting for Shopware, PrestaShop, Magento, WooCommerce, JTL Shop, Gambio, OXID, modified and xt:Commerce. These plans combine the hosting platform with software-oriented configuration and optional technical assistance.

Education and training platforms receive similar treatment. Hosting is available for Moodle, ILIAS and Mahara, accompanied by services such as Moodle administration, updates, support and training. This makes the company relevant for schools, educational organizations and businesses operating their own eLearning systems.

Managed application hosting is another useful part of the portfolio. BigBlueButton Hosting is available for managed video conferencing, while Nextcloud Hosting provides a managed private-cloud environment. Managed OTOBO and Znuny packages cover helpdesk and ticket-management requirements. These services combine the application with server administration, updates and operational management, avoiding the need for customers to maintain the underlying Linux environment themselves.

Server customers can move progressively from vServer products to Managed vServer, Root Server, Managed Server and Pro Server configurations. Unmanaged virtual and dedicated servers are suited to technically experienced customers who require greater system access, while managed products include operating-system maintenance, monitoring and administrative support. Managed configurations also include daily backups with retention for seven days.

The reseller platform targets agencies, developers and hosting providers that want to manage multiple customer accounts. Reseller Hosting includes NVMe storage, Plesk, managed operation and daily backups. White-label arrangements allow resellers to provide hosting without DM Solutions being directly visible to their own clients.

Domain registration covers more than 700 domain extensions. Domains can also be managed independently through the DomainOnly service without purchasing a conventional web hosting package. Trustee services are available where the registration requirements of particular extensions make them necessary.

The company also provides Hosted Exchange, email services, free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates with hosting packages, commercial SSL certificates, website development, accessible web design, SEO, consulting and training.

DM Solutions places considerable emphasis on environmentally responsible infrastructure. Its servers and Hanau office operate using 100% renewable electricity, and a tree is planted for each sold domain and web hosting account. Datacenter electricity originates from renewable hydropower and carries TÜV certification.

The website and ordering system are primarily available in German. Some administrative and legal communication can be handled in English, but a complete English-language storefront does not exist. Products are priced in EUR, and consumer prices include German VAT where applicable. The website itself has a modern responsive layout and includes accessibility features rather than the narrow fixed-width design still found at some older hosting companies.
