DigitalSpace is a long-established Canadian web hosting and online business services provider with hosting activity dating back to 1998. The company concentrates primarily on small businesses that need domains, email, website hosting, website creation and online marketing services within a single account environment.

DigitalSpace now operates under HostPapa, with its current legal documentation using the DigitalSpace by HostPapa identity. HostPapa completed its acquisition of the web hosting and logo design businesses of Deluxe (deluxe.com) on June 29, 2023, bringing DigitalSpace into a considerably larger hosting organization. Hostopia Canada Corp. remains associated with a number of DigitalSpace service agreements.

The current portfolio is centered on domain registration, business email, website hosting with a DIY website builder, professionally designed websites, SSL certificates, online fax, SEO services, reputation management and professional logo design. The company no longer concentrates on traditional server products such as VPS or dedicated servers, making DigitalSpace better suited to small companies that need a complete web presence rather than unmanaged infrastructure.

The DIY Website Builder combines website creation and hosting in one package. The Basic package supports one domain and includes a mobile-responsive drag-and-drop builder, first-year domain registration, 100 email accounts with 3 GB per mailbox and a Basic SSL certificate. Enhanced supports five domains and increases the allowance to 250 email accounts while adding an online directory listing and a 100 MB Microsoft SQL database. Premium supports ten domains, 500 email accounts, two 200 MB Microsoft SQL databases and ecommerce functionality for as many as 1,000 products.

These hosting packages also include high-availability hosting, bandwidth on demand, 24/7 monitoring, MySQL database management and FTP access. FTP allowances range from 100 users with the entry package to 500 users with Premium.

Customers who prefer to have their website created professionally can choose the Build It For Me service. Basic includes up to three professionally designed pages, while Enhanced increases this to five. Premium combines a professionally created Home and Contact page with ecommerce configuration covering the first ten product categories and the first 25 products.

The managed website packages include consultation, four hours of website maintenance per year, hosting, Basic SSL and between 100 and 500 email accounts depending on the package. Ecommerce configuration can cover shipping methods, payment options, merchant gateway settings, taxes and currency, with training included before the completed online store goes live.

Business Email can also be purchased independently. Packages range from five to 100 mailboxes, with each current mailbox offering 5 GB of storage and support for attachments up to 25 MB. Features include antivirus and spam filtering, autoresponders, IMAP/IMAPS, POP3/POP3S, SMTP/SMTPS and secure webmail.

The email platform also includes calendars, contacts, notes and tasks that can be shared between users. File storage, file sharing and mobile synchronization make it more complete than a basic POP/IMAP-only email service.

DigitalSpace offers SSL Premium, a domain-validated certificate with immediate issuance, 256-bit encryption, a dynamic security seal and a $250,000 warranty. The current certificate chain uses Comodo RSA CA. Basic SSL certificates are also included with the website packages.

Additional services broaden DigitalSpace beyond conventional hosting. Reviews Promoter helps businesses request customer reviews by email or text message, manage replies, create social posts, use AI-assisted social content and monitor competitors.

Search Engine Assist provides ranking analysis, competitor monitoring, SEO recommendations and access to more than 1,200 instructional videos. Online Fax provides local or toll-free fax numbers, fax-to-email delivery, one-year archives and support for common document formats. An encrypted Online Fax option is available for organizations handling sensitive information and includes HIPAA-oriented functionality.

Professional Logo Design is another business-oriented service. It includes four initial logo concepts, three revision rounds, ownership rights and completed artwork in 11 file formats.

DigitalSpace primarily operates in English. Some French navigation is available within the blog area, although the main commercial catalog and ordering environment remain English-focused. The current website uses a modern responsive layout suitable for desktop and mobile devices.
