*📜 Plan description
Junior is the entry protected dedicated server visible for the Moscow location. The shown baseline configuration combines 1 x Intel Xeon E5-1650v4 at 3.6 GHz with 6 cores, 32 GB RAM, and a required drive pair of 2 x 960 GB SSD, which gives a total of 1.92 TB SSD capacity on dedicated hardware. The sidebar also shows 1 Gbps bandwidth and a monthly price of 585 USD, billed as 1,755 USD quarterly, so this is the clearest low-end physical server option in the protected server configurator. It is suited to customers that have already outgrown VPS isolation and need a full machine for protected web services, APIs, back-office workloads, infrastructure nodes, or business projects that want a dedicated footprint while still staying at the lower end of the bare metal range. The resource profile is modest compared with the larger server classes, but it is still a real dedicated machine, which matters for customers that need stronger workload isolation and more predictable performance than a virtual environment can provide.
The protected server line is presented as a configurable DDoS-protected dedicated hosting service with location choice, selectable CPU families, selectable memory, required SSD drive pairs, and a clear activation workflow. The page layout shows Moscow and Amsterdam deployment options, a monthly pricing model with quarterly billing examples, and a 1 Gbps bandwidth reference in the active configuration summary. The overall product style is built for customers that want isolated hardware rather than shared hosting or VPS, with protected exposure for public-facing services and room to scale upward through larger CPU classes in the same server family.

📄 Editorial Review
DDoS-Guard is a specialized security provider that has expanded deeply into the web hosting sector. Founded in 2011, the company initially focused on protecting networks from denial-of-service attacks but has since evolved into a full-spectrum infrastructure provider. Their offering is distinct from typical hosting companies because security is not an add-on; it is the foundation of every product. Whether you are looking for Protected Hosting, Protected VDS/VPS, or Dedicated Servers, every plan comes pre-wrapped in their proprietary global filtering network. The company distinguishes its services by the layers of protection offered. They provide Website Protection (Layer 7 OSI) which includes a Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Web Application Firewall (WAF) to speed up and secure sites, and Network Protection (Layer 3-4 OSI) for infrastructure. For hosting specifically, they offer a "Protected VDS" built on KVM virtualization and "Protected Dedicated Servers" for high-load projects. A key feature across their hosting line is the integration of geo-distributed scrubbing: traffic is filtered at the nearest node before it ever reaches your server, ensuring stability even during massive attacks. They also cater to businesses needing specific compliance or localization, offering services in multiple languages (English, Russian, Spanish, etc.) and supporting varied infrastructure needs.

😠 If the recent news involving this company and Parler APP (the alt-right app involved in the assault on the US Capitol) isn't enough for you to stay away, get ready to be ripped off if anything goes wrong.
As a former customer of their services for 6 months, things went ok until I started getting DDOS heavily with a UDP and slowris HTTP flood attack this January (2021). Well, while we were severely impacted, their support just insisted on claiming that everything was fine... We were forced to switch to another company as our project become inoperational as it was going down every 50 minutes! Our billing period for that month started on the 27th of January, and while the issues were reported on the 28th, they still refused a partial refund, continuing to claim that there were no attacks and it was my fault we had to switch to a new hosting provider. When confronted with some facts, they starting spitting out some nonsense that their UDP DDoS protection only covers two ports and their L7 protection has some technical factors limiting their protection. So not only do not expect any kind of useful support if anything goes wrong, expect people dealing in bad faith, attempting to stall as long as possible, and trying to rip-off their customers, while violating their own TOS's.
