Datahost is a Czech web hosting and infrastructure company with roots going back to 2001. Martin Kadlčík and Daniel Hastík are connected with the original founding period, while the present legal entity, Datahost s.r.o., was incorporated on May 21, 2005. The company is currently managed and owned by Ing. Štefan Paleček.

Its core services are Linux Web Hosting, Business Email and Server Housing/Colocation, accompanied by domain registration, transfers and DNS administration. Its contractual service framework also covers virtual servers, dedicated physical servers, managed servers, cloud storage, remote desktop environments and software-related services.

Shared hosting is divided into Mini, Klasik and Profi plans. All packages use NVMe SSD storage and include unlimited data transfer, Let's Encrypt SSL certificates, daily web and e-mail backups, Apache, PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, firewall protection, DDoS protection, FTP and encrypted SFTP/SSH access. WordPress installations can also use object caching. PHP versions from older 5.x releases through current 7.x and 8.x branches are supported, with available resources increasing according to the package.

Mini is intended for a single domain and includes one database, 5 GB of total mailbox space and up to 100 mailboxes. Klasik supports five domains, unlimited databases and 15 GB of e-mail storage, together with higher PHP resource limits. Profi increases the allowance to ten domains, unlimited databases and 30 GB of e-mail storage, with substantially higher application limits. Web storage itself is unlimited across all three packages.

Cron functionality also scales with the selected plan. Mini includes one hourly scheduled task, while Profi supports up to ten cron jobs with intervals as short as five minutes. This makes the larger plans more practical for CMS platforms, automated scripts and applications that need regular background processing.

The separate Business Email service is suitable for customers who need professional e-mail on their own domain without purchasing full web hosting. It includes unlimited mailboxes within the purchased storage allocation, webmail, dedicated e-mail administration, daily backups, antispam protection and IMAP, POP3 and SMTP access. Security support includes SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS 1.2/1.3 and DANE, together with authentication-token functionality.

For customers requiring physical infrastructure, Server Housing is available in Brno, Czech Republic. Configurations range from individual 1U and tower servers to equipment with considerably higher power requirements. IPv4 connectivity, Anti-DDoS protection, technical monitoring and physical access arrangements are part of the service. Optional server management is available for customers who prefer Datahost to handle part or all of the operating-system and server administration.

Datahost uses its own client environment instead of a standard commercial hosting panel. Customers can manage services and domains and retrieve FTP and database access information from the client section, while e-mail has its own administration interface and webmail.

The website and ordering environment are focused on Czech-speaking customers, and prices are presented in CZK. No multi-language/localized version exists, making Datahost primarily suitable for the domestic Czech market.
