📄 Editorial Review
Cyber Wurx is an independent U.S. colocation and dedicated-server provider founded in 1997 by Chris Schwarz. Based in Georgia and focused on the Atlanta market, the company has built a long operating history around physical infrastructure, bare-metal servers and hands-on datacenter support rather than mass-market shared hosting. Cyber Wurx remains privately owned, with Schwarz serving as Founder and Owner, while LinkedIn places the company in the 2–10 employee range.Cyber Wurx spent almost two decades operating from 55 Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta. In 2021, American Tower acquired the 16th-floor datacenter space occupied by Cyber Wurx, adding more than 17,000 square feet and approximately 2 MW of capacity to American Tower's Metro Data Center operation. Cyber Wurx remained independent and continued operating from the facility as an anchor tenant, so the transaction involved datacenter real estate and infrastructure rather than the hosting business itself.
A major infrastructure change followed in 2026, when Cyber Wurx moved its customer equipment from downtown Atlanta to CoreSite AT2 in Marietta, Georgia. Existing customer agreements, pricing, service levels and assigned IP addresses remained in place during the migration. The newer facility provides substantially greater power density, cooling capacity, carrier connectivity and room for larger deployments.
The current portfolio centers on Colocation, Dedicated Servers, Managed Dedicated Servers, Unmanaged Dedicated Servers, Custom Infrastructure and Managed Linux Administration. The company's direction is clearly infrastructure-oriented, making it most relevant to customers that want physical server control, colocated equipment or dedicated hardware in the Atlanta market.
Dedicated Servers use bare-metal hardware installed at CoreSite AT2. The entry configuration starts with an Intel Xeon E3-1241 v3, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD storage, 1 Gbit Ethernet and a /29 subnet for $49 per month. Other current configurations include Xeon E3-1240 v5 systems from $69 per month, E3-1240 v6 systems from $79 per month and E5-2620 v3 servers from $119 per month.
Hardware can be expanded with additional RAM, SSD storage and IP allocations. Depending on the server class, memory reaches 64 GB or 128 GB, SSD capacity can reach 4 TB, secondary drives can be added and network allocations can be expanded as far as /24. Operating-system options include AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and Ubuntu, while custom ISO installation is available for customers with different requirements.
Dedicated servers include 1 Gbit connectivity, a /29 subnet, remote reboot capabilities, remote-hands assistance, IP KVM access, monitoring, generator-backed power and the physical-security protections of the datacenter. cPanel/WHM can also be added to supported systems.
Unmanaged Dedicated Servers are intended for customers who want full administrative control. Once the selected operating system is installed, the customer receives root or administrator access and manages the software environment independently.
Managed Dedicated Servers add operating-system and application administration. Management can cover software requirements, DNS, email configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring and other server-maintenance tasks. Custom monitoring and intrusion-detection systems can also be incorporated where required.
Colocation is one of Cyber Wurx's strongest services. Deployments range from individual servers and partial rack space to complete 42U cabinets, multiple cabinets and private cages. Customers retain ownership of their hardware while Cyber Wurx supplies the datacenter environment, network connectivity, power, cooling, security and on-site technical assistance.
Colocation power options are organized around Node, Core, Edge and Apex configurations. Smaller deployments use shared or dedicated 110V capacity, while Apex is designed for full cabinets and more demanding installations. Higher-end Apex configurations can reach 30A/208V with approximately 10 kW of available power.
A+B independent power feeds are available for suitable deployments and work particularly well with servers using redundant power supplies. Systems with a single power supply can instead use an automatic transfer switch to benefit from redundant feeds.
Larger customers can use custom infrastructure with multiple cabinets, private cages, custom electrical requirements and tailored network configurations. This gives Cyber Wurx considerable flexibility for installations that do not fit standard colocation packages.
Additional datacenter services include Remote Hands, KVM and console access, equipment installation, equipment storage and Linux system administration. Linux administration covers package management, patching, service configuration, users and permissions, troubleshooting, log analysis, performance diagnosis, networking, firewalls, cron jobs, scripting and security hardening.
The company operates in English and prices its services in U.S. dollars. Its service range is much more specialized than that of a conventional shared-hosting company, with most of the value concentrated around physical infrastructure, direct technical assistance and Atlanta-area connectivity.
