CoreSpace is a Dallas, Texas infrastructure and cloud provider founded in 2009, with a strong focus on enterprise IaaS, managed cloud, dedicated infrastructure and colocation rather than conventional shared web hosting. Liana Dunlap is President and CEO and has been involved with the company since its early years. CoreSpace is privately held and operates from Dallas, where its principal infrastructure and management operations are based.

A major milestone came in 2011, when CoreSpace acquired its 30,000-square-foot Dallas data center and later moved its headquarters into the same facility. Owning the primary facility gives the company direct control over server operations, physical security, network connectivity, cooling and power infrastructure.

The current service portfolio is centered on Cloud, Colocation, Dedicated Servers, Cloud Storage, Backup, DDoS Protection and Disaster Recovery. Cloud deployments support OpenStack, Kubernetes, VMware and CEPH, with public, private, hybrid and multi-cloud architectures. OpenStack environments can include compute, bare-metal provisioning, object, block and file storage, networking, load balancing, DNS, identity, orchestration, containers, database services, monitoring and Horizon administration.

Hybrid infrastructure can integrate with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Alibaba Cloud. This makes CoreSpace more suitable for businesses building customized infrastructure than for customers simply looking for a basic hosting account.

Dedicated Servers provide single-tenant hardware with SSD storage on available configurations, RAID, Tier-1 network connectivity, IPv4 resources and DDoS, IPS and IDS protection. Dedicated systems can also be incorporated into private or hybrid cloud environments. Some older Dell PowerEdge configurations remain visible with promotional pricing that expired in August 2020, so those prices should be considered historical rather than current commercial offers.

Colocation is one of CoreSpace's most established services. Options range from individual server deployments to partial cabinets, full cabinets, cages and customized environments. Customers receive 24/7 facility access, network connectivity, power options, remote hands and onsite technical assistance. Remotely controlled power and access to replacement server and networking components can simplify emergency maintenance.

Cloud Storage includes object storage and managed file storage across geographically diverse infrastructure. It is suitable for backups, archives, disaster recovery and replication, with unmetered data-transfer pricing, private connectivity and a high-capacity optical backbone. Storage can be configured around HIPAA and PCI requirements.

Backup Services support Windows, Linux, Microsoft SQL and MySQL environments. Automated scheduling, multiple recovery points, continuous protection, network-based disk storage and AES-256 encryption are available. Configurations can include up to 500 GB of server backup capacity, while larger environments can use dedicated backup infrastructure.

DDoS Protection covers both volumetric attacks and Layer 7 threats such as malicious bots, credential stuffing, account takeover attempts and scraping. Behavioral analysis and traffic profiling help distinguish normal visitors from hostile automated traffic.

Disaster Recovery can protect physical and virtual infrastructure, with replication between geographically separate locations and rapid failover capabilities. Backup, dedicated infrastructure and cloud systems can be combined into broader business-continuity designs.

The website and commercial communication are in English, while public monetary amounts are expressed in USD. Most current infrastructure services are quotation-based rather than sold through a simple instant checkout.

One weakness is the coexistence of current cloud and colocation information with much older dedicated-server offers. Customers considering a longer contract should therefore obtain a current written quotation covering hardware, data-center location, bandwidth, SLA, management scope and contract duration.
