*📜 Plan description
The plan includes up to 10 independently configurable DNS zones and is billed EUR 41.65 gross once per year.
The nameserver service uses three dedicated authoritative DNS servers at at least two locations in Germany. All nameservers have native IPv4 and IPv6 dual-stack connectivity and run BIND. Customers can use the provider hostnames or their own branded nameserver hostnames. Zones can be configured as primary zones through the web interface or as secondary zones receiving secure transfers from an external primary server. DNSSEC and DANE are supported when the domain registrar can publish the required key data.
Primary-zone management supports all record types provided by the server software, including A, AAAA, CAA, DS, HTTPS, MX, NS, SRV, SVCB, TLSA and URI. There is no record-count limit per zone. The interface provides QuickAdd, assistants for common records, record editing and copying, bulk deletion, zone-file import and export, a DNS API in beta, dynamic DNS for IPv4 and IPv6, external secondary servers with or without TSIG, additional NOTIFY targets and immediate automated DNSSEC signing. Secondary zones support TSIG-secured transfers and an IPv4 or IPv6 primary server. Data transfer and DNS queries are not metered, there is no setup fee, and the cancellation notice period is 14 days. Payment is by SEPA transfer or invoice after the initial new-customer prepayment, and free support is available by ticket, email and telephone.

📄 Editorial Review
Core Networks GmbH is a German web hosting and internet-services provider established in 2004. The company operates from Eltville am Rhein under the management of Michael Scholl, combining company-owned server hardware, internally developed management systems and direct technical support. Its portfolio covers Linux shared hosting, email hosting, domain registration, authoritative DNS, TLS/SSL certificates, S/MIME certificates, TeamSpeak voice servers, website development, online-shop development, Linux server consulting and network consulting. The company concentrates on traditional hosting and internet services rather than VPS, cloud-server or dedicated-server rental.
Web hosting uses a configurable structure instead of a long catalog of fixed packages. The basic configuration includes five MariaDB databases and 50 email mailboxes, while customers can adjust the required storage capacity and billing interval. Any number of domains and subdomains can be connected to the hosting account, including domains registered through another provider.
All hosting systems support both IPv4 and IPv6. Accounts include FTPS, SFTP, SSH access, cron jobs, Apache mod_rewrite, .htaccess configuration, access statistics and anonymized server logs. This makes the service particularly suitable for developers and experienced website administrators who want more control than entry-level website-builder hosting normally provides.
Supported programming environments include PHP 8.2, PHP 8.3, PHP 8.4, Perl, Python and SSI. A different PHP release can be selected for each website. Older PHP versions are replaced after their security-support period ends, helping reduce the risk of websites remaining permanently attached to obsolete software.
MariaDB provides MySQL-compatible database functionality with MyISAM, Aria, InnoDB and Memory storage engines. phpMyAdmin is included for browser-based administration. WordPress, Nextcloud, content-management systems and other PHP applications can be installed manually, although there is no one-click application installer.
The email environment includes POP3, IMAP, SMTP, encrypted client connections, webmail, configurable mailbox quotas, DKIM signing, Sieve filters, vacation messages, spam filtering and virus scanning. Individual mailboxes can send up to 250 messages per hour and 1,000 messages per day. Email services use the same storage-based hosting structure rather than a separate low-cost mailbox-only package.
Daily backups are included with web hosting. Restoration work is billed according to the technical support time required, so independent customer backups remain advisable for important websites, databases and email data.
Domain registration covers more than 450 extensions, including generic domains, country-code domains and internationalized domain names. Domains registered through Core Networks include authoritative DNS without a separate DNS subscription.
Domain-management features include DNSSEC, DANE, Dynamic DNS, HTTP redirects, email forwarding, spam and virus filtering for forwarded messages, SMTP relay forwarding and support for external nameservers. DNSSEC availability depends on support from the relevant domain registry.
The standalone authoritative DNS service is one of the strongest products in the catalog. It uses three dedicated nameservers distributed across at least two German locations and supports native IPv4 and IPv6.
Customers can create primary and secondary DNS zones, connect external secondary servers, protect zone transfers through TSIG and import or export complete zone files. All record types supported by BIND can be configured, and there is no limit on the number of records stored inside an individual zone.
DNSSEC signing is automated, DANE is supported and DNS changes are deployed immediately. Dynamic DNS operates through a DynDNS2-compatible interface, while a beta DNS API allows integration with custom administration and deployment systems.
The certificate portfolio includes domain-validated, organization-validated, extended-validation and wildcard TLS certificates. RSA and ECC keys are supported, certificates can be reissued or revoked without an additional fee, and there is no server-count licensing restriction.
PersonalSign certificates provide S/MIME email signing and encryption, document signing and certificate-based authentication. These products are useful for organizations that need verified email identities or encrypted business correspondence.
TeamSpeak 3 voice servers remain available for gaming communities, project groups and business teams. They include encrypted voice communication, file transfers, configurable host banners, optional custom domains, included traffic and slot-based billing.
The website is available in German only, and all product prices are displayed in EUR. No multi-language localized version exists. The layout remains functional and information-rich, but its narrow, traditional design is less suitable for modern mobile screens than the responsive interfaces used by newer hosting providers.
