Coolhousing is a Czech data center and infrastructure provider operating since 2003. The company operates as COOLHOUSING s.r.o. and concentrates on server infrastructure rather than conventional mass-market website hosting. Its portfolio covers VPS, VDS, dedicated servers, managed servers, server colocation, rack housing, NAS hosting, storage, networking, security, monitoring and remote-management services. Customers looking specifically for shared hosting, reseller hosting, domain registration or a website builder will therefore find its services considerably more infrastructure-oriented.

The company operates its own public data center in Prague, Czech Republic, with three server rooms, while a second facility in Brno operates in private mode and accommodates virtualization infrastructure used for VPS services. Coolhousing has more than 2,000 professional servers, connectivity reaching 40 Gbps, more than two decades of industry experience and ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications.

Virtual Private Servers use Proxmox VE virtualization, AMD EPYC processors and NVMe SSD storage. Both Linux and Windows configurations are available. Linux VPS plans start with 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 25 GB NVMe storage, while larger plans increase CPU, memory and storage without requiring customers to migrate to an entirely different hosting environment. Customers receive root or administrator access, one IPv4 address, IPv6, Anti-DDoS protection and unlimited data transfer. VPS instances can normally be activated within only a few minutes.

Linux customers can choose operating systems including AlmaLinux, Debian, Fedora, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, openSUSE, FreeBSD and OpenBSD. Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025 are available for Windows configurations. Backup options use snapshots, ranging from a free manual snapshot to automatic retention for 3, 7 or 30 days. VPS servers can also be interconnected through private VLAN, VPN or hybrid links with physical servers.

The higher-performance VDS range provides an intermediate option between ordinary VPS hosting and physical dedicated hardware. VDS START includes 4 vCPU, 12 GB RAM, 300 GB NVMe storage and 1 Gbps connectivity, while VDS STANDARD increases capacity to 6 vCPU, 20 GB RAM and 600 GB NVMe. VDS BUSINESS reaches 8 vCPU, 32 GB RAM and 1 TB NVMe. These plans include full virtualization, root access, Anti-DDoS protection, IPv4 and IPv6, reverse DNS, snapshots, redundant connectivity and unlimited traffic.

Dedicated Servers provide physically isolated hardware while Coolhousing takes care of power, cooling, connectivity and hardware servicing. Entry configurations include AMD Ryzen-based systems with 64 GB RAM, dual SSD storage and 1 Gbps connectivity. Dedicated servers include unlimited traffic, Anti-DDoS protection, one IPv4 address, KVM over IP and 24/7 hardware service. An unusual long-term option allows eligible rented hardware to be purchased for €3 after 24 months.

For companies that prefer administration to be included, Managed Servers combine dedicated hardware with operating-system and server management. The BASIC management package includes five administrator hours per month, OS maintenance, monitoring, updates and backup-related work. Managed configurations include platforms from Dell PowerEdge, HPE ProLiant and custom AMD EPYC systems. Migration, software installation, security administration, backup and Microsoft licensing can also form part of the managed environment.

Colocation is one of Coolhousing's strongest areas. Server Colocation supports both conventional rack servers and tower systems, along with unusually compact equipment such as Intel NUC, Raspberry Pi, MikroTik appliances, QNAP and Synology devices. Customers receive 1 Gbps connectivity with unlimited traffic, backup power, Anti-DDoS protection and 24/7 physical access. Electricity is billed according to actual measured consumption rather than simply according to the equipment's maximum rated power.

A dedicated NAS/NUC/Mini Server colocation category is available for compact hardware. It includes an allowance for power consumption, 1 Gbps connectivity, IPv4 and IPv6, Remote Hands and backup power.

Larger deployments can use Rack Housing with lockable 12U, 20U and 42U cabinets. Rack services include dual 1 Gbps uplinks, real electricity metering, Anti-DDoS protection, backup power and options for A/B power feeds, 10 Gbps connectivity, BGP and dedicated network connectivity. The full 42U option can use two independent 16A feeds with separate electricity meters.

Coolhousing also provides a substantial range of supplementary infrastructure services. These include high-speed L2 and optical data circuits, dedicated unmetered lines, cross-connects, VPN, custom hardware firewalls, Anti-DDoS filtering, Linux server administration, professional monitoring, KVM over IP, NAS rental, external storage and Microsoft SPLA licensing. More specialized customers can use DVB-T/T2 and DVB-S/S2 signal distribution for television monitoring, media archives and streaming infrastructure.

External storage is available independently from local server disks. It uses enterprise storage configured with RAID 10 and supports FTPS, SMB and NFS. Capacity ranges from 25 GB to 1 TB, making it particularly practical for backup storage and workloads where very low disk latency is not essential.

Coolhousing also rents Synology and QNAP NAS systems. NAS rental includes network connectivity, electricity, hardware maintenance and DDoS protection, while eligible hardware can also qualify for the €3 purchase option after 24 months.

Security is more comprehensive than at a typical small hosting provider. Basic Anti-DDoS protection is included with major server products, while advanced mitigation uses a multi-platform scrubbing infrastructure based on Arbor Networks and BGP FlowSpec. Filtering capacity is designed for attacks reaching hundreds of Gbps. Tailored MikroTik hardware firewalls, encrypted VPN connectivity and private networking are also available.
