COLSAT S.A.S. is a Colombian business technology, cloud, email, and hosting provider founded in 1999. The company concentrates primarily on corporate customers and combines traditional web hosting with managed cloud infrastructure, professional email platforms, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, transactional SMTP, email marketing, domain services, and related cloud consulting.

With more than 26 years of activity, COLSAT has developed particularly strong experience around business email and managed Internet infrastructure. The company manages more than 18,000 cloud email accounts and operates as a Microsoft and Google partner. Its organization is relatively compact, with approximately 11–50 employees, making the operation considerably more specialized than a mass-market international hosting brand.

The Hosting Empresarial platform is based on cPanel and supports corporate websites, WordPress, PHP/MySQL applications, databases, FTP, domain management, and email accounts. COLSAT takes responsibility for the underlying hosting environment, operating-system maintenance, infrastructure monitoring, and security-related administration, leaving customers to manage their websites and individual hosting resources through cPanel. Softaculous is included for installing WordPress and other compatible applications.

The hosting service is designed primarily for companies managing their own websites rather than hosting resellers. Reseller Hosting is not offered, and normal hosting accounts cannot be resold or shared as conventional reseller packages unless a specific multi-domain arrangement has been approved.

Cloud VPS is the main server-level solution and is fundamentally a managed service rather than a low-cost self-service VPS product. COLSAT handles initial configuration, system administration, compatible software updates, firewall and access settings, security measures, monitoring, and infrastructure capacity planning. Resources are selected according to application requirements, databases, traffic, storage, user concurrency, security requirements, and expected growth rather than through a simple public table of standardized VPS packages.

The managed approach makes Cloud VPS particularly suitable for companies without dedicated Linux or Windows system administrators. COLSAT normally remains responsible for the operating environment while the customer's developers concentrate on their applications. Self-managed VPS access is therefore not the normal service model.

Traditional Dedicated Servers are now mainly a legacy service for customers who already have them. New server requirements are centered on managed Cloud VPS. Existing dedicated-server customers continue receiving hardware and connectivity support, while operating-system maintenance, application security, software updates, monitoring, and backup responsibilities depend on the management level included in their contract.

Email remains one of COLSAT's strongest areas. CloudMail Plus is a dedicated corporate email platform separate from ordinary web hosting. Mailboxes are available with 30 GB, 50 GB, or 100 GB of storage and include company-domain addresses, Webmail, IMAP, POP3, SMTP, SSL/TLS, antispam and antivirus filtering, two-factor authentication, centralized administration, calendars, contacts, and tasks. Deleted messages can be recovered for up to 30 days, while migrations from another email provider can be handled as an additional project.

CloudMail Plus is intended for regular employee communication. Automated ERP, CRM, electronic invoicing, monitoring systems, websites, applications, and other high-volume transactional systems can instead use CES – Custom Email Solutions. CES provides authenticated SMTP and dedicated IP addressing, keeping application-generated messages separate from employee email traffic and reducing the risk of damaging the reputation of normal corporate mailboxes.

Email Marketing is kept separate again and provides campaign-oriented functions such as templates, mailing lists, scheduled sending, personalization, subscription forms, and delivery statistics. Separating employee mail, transactional messages, and marketing traffic is a sensible design for companies heavily dependent on reliable email communication.

COLSAT also supplies Microsoft 365 licensing, implementation, migration, and support. Available options include Exchange Online, Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, Business Premium, and Apps for Business. Depending on the selected license, customers can obtain Exchange mailboxes, OneDrive storage, Microsoft Office applications, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender, and Entra ID capabilities.

Google Workspace is available with similar implementation and migration assistance. Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, and Enterprise cover different storage, collaboration, administration, and security requirements. Gmail, Drive, Meet, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Chat, and related Google services can therefore be integrated through COLSAT under a locally supported business relationship.

Domains and SSL-related services complement the hosting and cloud portfolio. Domain registration, renewal, DNS-related administration, WHOIS management, and optional domain privacy protection are available, although domains are now secondary to the company's broader managed cloud and email business.

The website is primarily in Spanish, which fits COLSAT's focus on Colombian companies. No multi-language/localized version exists.
