*📜 Plan description

G3.2 in the General purpose class includes 2 Xeon E5 vCPUs, 2 GB RAM, 50 GB SSD storage and 3 TB monthly data transfer. The Linux price is $10.00/mo and the matching Windows price is $20.00/mo; both sizes are billed hourly with the listed monthly equivalent. Each virtual server includes one public IPv4 plus a private NIC for intra-DC traffic, and you have root/Administrator access to install stacks, panels, or databases.

ColossusCloud runs on SSD distributed storage (Ceph) with each block triple stored across multiple servers. Deploy in minutes at six regions (Silicon Valley, Las Vegas, Dallas, Ashburn, Amsterdam, Singapore). Each VM includes one public IPv4 and a private 192.168.x.x interface for intra-DC networking. Billing is hourly with an auto-refill to roughly 30 days, payable by credit card or PayPal. Daily backup snapshots are available; you can scale to hundreds of VMs from the portal. Linux images span Debian 10/11/12, Ubuntu 18.04/20.04/22.04, AlmaLinux 8/9, Rocky Linux 8/9 and offer a fully automated cPanel installer. Windows templates include Windows 7/10 Pro and Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 R2/2016/2019/2022 with RDP access. Network uplinks are multi-10/40G with providers such as NTT, Zayo and Telstra. A 14-day money-back guarantee is advertised.

📄 Editorial Review

ColossusCloud is the VPS-focused hosting platform operated by A+ Hosting, Inc., the Nevada corporation behind ServerPoint. It is not a separate corporation: ColossusCloud is the proprietary virtualization platform used for VPS services across both brands, while ServerPoint remains the broader hosting operation. Accounts, billing, support and VPS management use the same Client Portal and underlying infrastructure.

The ColossusCloud name has a longer technical history than the standalone website. ServerPoint was operating virtual servers from 2006, and ColossusCloud developed as the internal name for its virtualization system. A dedicated ColossusCloud brand and website were formally announced in 2014. The parent corporation, A+ Hosting, Inc., was established in 2001, while ServerPoint traces its hosting activity to 1998. ServerPoint identifies Pedro Nieto, CEO, and Minerva Martell, CFO, among its founders.

The current ColossusCloud business is considerably more focused than older versions of the service. Its primary product is Cloud VPS hosting; conventional shared hosting and dedicated servers belong to the wider ServerPoint portfolio rather than the current ColossusCloud product catalog. This clearer specialization makes the service particularly relevant for developers, administrators, businesses and application owners who need root or administrator access without moving to a complete bare-metal server.

Both Linux VPS and Windows VPS are available. Linux choices cover AlmaLinux, Debian, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, CentOS and other distributions, while more than 40 bootable ISO images extend the range to systems such as Fedora, Arch Linux, FreeBSD and specialist environments. Windows support is unusually broad, extending from older Windows Server editions through Windows Server 2025. Separate options also cover Windows 7, Windows 10 and Windows 11 workloads where legacy application compatibility or a remote Windows desktop is required.

The Linux range starts with small general-purpose instances and expands through high-frequency CPU, high-memory and storage-oriented configurations. Full root access is provided, making the service suitable for web servers, databases, development environments, containers, private services and custom application stacks. Docker and Kubernetes workloads are possible, and common automation tools such as Ansible, Chef and Puppet can be used.

Windows servers include administrator access through RDP and can be used for business applications, remote desktops and Microsoft-oriented workloads. Microsoft Office, SQL Server and other commercial Microsoft software can be licensed where required. There are also dedicated landing options for Forex VPS users running MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 continuously.

For website hosting, WordPress VPS uses the same cloud infrastructure rather than a restricted shared WordPress environment. Customers retain server-level access and can add cPanel and Softaculous when they prefer a conventional hosting interface. A separate cPanel VPS deployment automates installation of cPanel/WHM, although the cPanel license remains an additional monthly expense.

Storage is one of the stronger parts of the architecture. Current VPS generations use enterprise NVMe storage backed by Ceph distributed storage. Data is distributed and replicated across the storage cluster rather than being dependent on a single local disk. ColossusCloud uses enterprise-class Samsung NVMe drives and redundant 40/100 Gbps connections between storage and compute infrastructure.

Every VPS also receives private networking, while free managed DNS is included with active VPS service. The DNS platform includes Anycast operation, DNSSEC, DDoS protection and management of the standard DNS record types. IPv6 is integrated into the platform, with routed IPv6 networks available in addition to public IPv4 and private networking.

Automatic backups are optional rather than bundled into the base VPS price. The backup system makes daily full-disk images using separate storage infrastructure in the same data center. Customers can select shorter or longer retention, including a 4-day configuration or a 30-day history, and selected backup images can be retained permanently for cloning or recovery. This is useful operationally, although customers requiring geographic disaster recovery should still maintain an independent off-site backup because these snapshots remain within the same data-center location.

The website and customer environment are primarily in English. Prices and transactions use USD; amounts shown in another currency should be regarded as estimates because purchases are ultimately processed in U.S. dollars.

😠 They lack of transparency, professionalism and respect. Peter from technical support will talk to you like you are the problem. They will never assume their fault when a problem occurs. They will not give any explanation on what happened if something goes wrong with their network. Since I am their customer I've noticed random restarts on my service. Better stay away!
