*📜 Plan description

GPU Bare Metal Server Package B combines two Intel Xeon Gold 6138 processors rated at 2.00/3.70GHz with 40 cores and 80 threads, 64 GB DDR4, an NVIDIA T4 accelerator with 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM and two 480 GB SSDs. Included software RAID 1 provides approximately 480 GB of mirrored usable capacity. The plan costs $159.95 per month with no setup charge. The T4 supports CUDA-compatible inference, media processing, visualization and other accelerator workloads, but model data and application state need a separate backup because the normal server service does not include one.

The server is housed in Cloud South’s West Palm Beach, Florida infrastructure and includes a 1 Gbps port, 20 TB of monthly transfer, one IPv4 address, standard reactive DDoS mitigation and IP KVM/IPMI/BMC for BIOS-level access, reboot and monitoring. Technical support is available 24x7 by phone, email, ticket and portal live chat, while ordinary verified provisioning is targeted within 24 hours and custom hardware can take up to three days. The service is unmanaged: Cloud South installs the selected operating system but does not harden it, administer customer software or provide a normal backup service. Customers should maintain current onsite and offsite copies. Windows Server trial editions, paid Windows licenses, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, CloudLinux, Ubuntu, Debian, FreeBSD, Proxmox, VMware ESXi and XenServer choices are available. Optional cPanel and WHM costs $52 per month for up to 100 accounts, then $0.25 per additional account. The network has a 99.999% monthly SLA with conditional future-service credits, but there is no refund period. Cancellation or downgrade requires a ticket at least five days before renewal, and late notice can incur a $25 fee.

📄 Editorial Review

Cloud South is a South Florida Infrastructure-as-a-Service company founded in 2011. It operates as Cloud South Inc. under founder and chairman Frank Caruso, with Paul Bint as chief executive, Scott Matukas as chief operating officer, and Jay Mercer as chief technology officer. Named executives also oversee marketing, customer service, accounting, and operations. The organization falls in the 2–10 employee range, while engineering and facility coverage continue around the clock.

Customers in more than 40 countries use its infrastructure, and the installed base ranges from a single machine to fleets of hundreds. Cloud South owns the facilities and controls the server supply chain, allowing standard hardware to be delivered quickly and larger deployments to be customized. Its commercial center is Dedicated Hosting, with Performance, Value, GPU, and Apple Mac choices. It also leases IPv4 blocks. Colocation and VoIP are linked as services but still read Coming Soon, so they should not be treated as current orderable products.

Performance Package A is built around two Intel Xeon Gold 6138 processors with 40 cores and 80 threads, 64 GB DDR4, and two 960 GB SSDs. The included software RAID 1 layout leaves about 960 GB of mirrored capacity. Package B moves to dual Xeon Gold 6148 processors, 128 GB DDR4, and two 800 GB enterprise NVMe drives, again mirrored. A separate Featured NVMe Server repeats Package B’s hardware and price exactly; it is another sales route to the same configuration rather than an additional distinct plan.

Performance Package C keeps the dual Gold 6148 platform and increases it to 256 GB DDR4 with two 1.6 TB enterprise NVMe drives. RAID 1 produces approximately 1.6 TB of usable mirrored storage. Storage Server Package A takes a different approach, using two Gold 6132 processors, 64 GB DDR4, mirrored 240 GB M.2 system drives, and three 10 TB SATA data disks. The data disks provide 30 TB raw, but usable capacity depends on the selected array. RAID requirements should therefore be stated explicitly in the order notes.

Value Package #1 combines two Xeon E5-2697 v2 processors, 24 cores and 48 threads, 256 GB DDR3, and two 480 GB SSDs. The older CPUs trade modern per-core performance for a large memory allocation at an effective $100 per month. This can be economical for a legacy system, lab, or virtualization workload that needs RAM but does not depend on the newest instruction set or maximum single-thread speed.

The GPU Bare Metal Server uses two Gold 6138 processors, 64 GB DDR4, two 480 GB SSDs in software RAID 1, and an NVIDIA T4 with 16 GB GDDR6. Its accelerator can handle CUDA-compatible inference, media processing, remote graphics, and related applications. Training data, models, and application state need independent protection because normal server packages do not include backup.

Apple users can order a Mac Studio M2 Max with a 12-core CPU, 30-core GPU, 32 GB unified memory, 16-core Neural Engine, 512 GB SSD, and macOS 14 Sonoma. One IPv4 address, Splashtop remote access, and a 1 Gbps unmetered connection are included. A 2 TB external Thunderbolt NVMe drive adds $25 per month, while 4 TB adds $50. Fortinet firewall options are available from a /29 model through a /25 model.

Every conventional Intel configuration includes one IPv4 address, 20 TB of transfer on a 1 Gbps port, reactive DDoS mitigation, and IP KVM/IPMI/BMC. Linux, FreeBSD, Windows, Proxmox, VMware, and XenServer choices cover most server roles. Some deployment details remain dated: Windows 2012 and 2016 are still selectable, and the FAQ continues to require Java 7 for IPKVM. A buyer should confirm that the assigned hardware supports a modern console workflow and choose a maintained operating system.

These machines are strictly unmanaged. Cloud South performs initial installation but does not harden the OS or add security beyond its defaults. Patching, firewall policy, monitoring, applications, credentials, and backup belong to the customer. The account owner remains responsible after a compromise, including spam and reconnect charges caused by an intruder. Buyers without in-house administration should budget for an outside specialist.

The acceptable-use policy excludes spoofing, network interference, sabotage, illegal content, IRC, peer-to-peer traffic, and BitTorrent. It also allows action when an issued address is blacklisted. More than 16 extra IPs can require ARIN justification. Standard reactive DDoS mitigation is included, yet a server that initiates or becomes the target of a disruptive attack may be null-routed, suspended, or terminated. The protection is therefore a first response, not an unconditional guarantee that an attacked service will stay online.

Cloud South leases IPv4 space on a one-year minimum. A /24 costs $1 per address, totaling $256 per month; a /23 is $0.90 per IP, a /22 is $0.80, and a /21 is $0.70. A letter of authorization lets the customer’s ISP announce the allocation. Larger blocks are negotiable. IPv4 leasing is useful network infrastructure, although it does not fit a supported WHTop hosting-plan category and is consequently absent from the CSV.

The current order portal is more useful than several older website areas. The main site remains responsive, but empty Google+ navigation, long-standing Coming Soon entries, and the Java 7 download expose content that needs maintenance. The active portal contains the decisive hardware, billing, OS, RAID, network, and add-on choices.
