CloudLaya is a Nepal-origin cloud hosting and managed infrastructure company whose history goes back to 2017, when founder and CEO Nabin Adhikari started the project while he was a third-year engineering student. The initial investment was only Rs. 5,000, and CloudLaya began within the Technozlife Group. The present independent multi-cloud business took shape around 2020, while the CloudLaya brand and its original operations date from 2017.

The company has developed well beyond conventional web hosting. CloudLaya now focuses strongly on managed cloud infrastructure and enterprise customers, serving more than 250 enterprise clients across more than five countries, with Nepal and the wider Asia-Pacific region forming an important part of its market. Since 2022, the business direction has shifted increasingly toward enterprises and scaled startups, although Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, VPS, Domains and Email Hosting remain part of the active service range.

Its cloud practice covers AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, DigitalOcean, Alibaba Cloud and Huawei Cloud (huaweicloud.com). CloudLaya has reached AWS Advanced Tier Partner status and also works as an authorized Google Cloud partner. Its broader technology ecosystem includes Microsoft, Zoho and other cloud and productivity platforms. The parent organization, Technozlife Information Technology Pvt. Ltd., operates an Information Security Management System aligned with ISO 27001:2022 practices.

For conventional website hosting, Shared Hosting remains the entry-level service. Accounts use SSD storage together with LiteSpeed, cPanel, Softaculous, free SSL certificates, unmetered bandwidth, email accounts, FTP, MySQL/phpMyAdmin, PHP, Ruby, Python, SSH access and cron jobs. Regular daily, weekly or monthly backups are included, and free migration is available. Some packages also bundle a free .COM domain and assistance with Nepal's free .np domains.

Managed WordPress Hosting is more cloud-oriented. AWS S3 backup and disaster recovery are incorporated into these plans together with free SSL, migration, SSH/FTP access, caching, staging and optional CDN functionality. GrowBig also includes Plesk.

Managed Cloud VPS starts with a fully managed 1 GB instance and scales through 2 GB, 4 GB and larger configurations. Depending on the selected package, server administration can use CloudLaya's custom Hepesia interface, Plesk, cPanel or DirectAdmin. SSD storage, off-site backups, server monitoring and managed administration make this more suitable for customers wanting assisted VPS operation rather than a completely unmanaged virtual server.

CloudLaya's enterprise portfolio is substantially broader. AWS Managed Services covers architecture planning, migrations, landing zones, EC2, EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, CloudFront, WAF, AWS Backup and infrastructure automation. Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, GuardDuty, Security Hub and CloudTrail are among the technologies integrated into managed environments. VPS and dedicated server workloads can also be deployed through AWS and Google Cloud.

Cloud Consulting, Cloud Migration and Cloud Management cover readiness assessments, infrastructure architecture, hybrid and multi-cloud projects, FinOps and cost optimization, security, compliance, backup, disaster recovery, performance optimization and ongoing operational management. This makes the service suitable for organizations that need external cloud engineering expertise rather than only server rental.

The Cloud Data & Analytics practice includes data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, real-time data streaming, Looker, Power BI, Tableau and AI/ML workloads. DevOps extends the portfolio with CI/CD automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, deployment automation, monitoring and cloud-native infrastructure management.

Application Development adds custom web applications, APIs, React, Angular, Next.js, Node.js, Python/Django, PHP/Laravel, PostgreSQL/MySQL, native mobile development, Flutter and React Native. CloudLaya is therefore closer today to a cloud engineering and managed-services provider than to a traditional low-cost hosting company.

Email is another important part of the portfolio. Products include Business Email, Enterprise Email, Zoho Mail, Zimbra, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, together with migration and administration services. Business Email provides domain-based mailboxes, calendars, contacts and malware protection, while Enterprise Email increases storage and productivity capabilities. Migrations between Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho, Zimbra and cPanel-based mail environments are also supported.

CloudLaya Campaigns covers bulk email marketing and automation, including responsive campaigns, personalization, purchase follow-ups, abandoned-cart messages, send-time optimization, domain authentication and A/B testing. Domains, DNS management and DV, OV and EV SSL certificates complete the more traditional Internet-services portfolio.

The main corporate website is modern and focused primarily on managed cloud and enterprise projects. Some older retail hosting sections are less polished and still contain duplicated or inconsistent plan information, so customers ordering a legacy hosting package should confirm the exact resources, SLA and control-panel license associated with the selected plan.

The website is primarily available in English. No full Nepali-language localization exists. Retail hosting prices are mainly shown in Nepalese rupees (NPR/Rs.), while larger cloud, migration and enterprise projects are generally quotation based.
