CloudAccess.net is a US-managed hosting provider founded in 2008 by Gary Jay Brooks. The business began in Indian River, Michigan, as MichiganMedia.net, initially concentrating on web design and consulting. Its direction changed after Gary Brooks became involved with the Joomla community and developed the concept of a longer cloud-hosted Joomla demonstration environment. CloudAccess.net secured the contract to operate Joomla’s official demonstration service in April 2010, turning the company into a recognized specialist in Joomla hosting, training, and application support.

Jonathan James Gafill became CEO in 2014 after previously working as project manager, support manager, chief operating officer, and head of several internal departments. CloudAccess.net joined Cloud Equity Group in May 2016.
