cloud.mu is a Mauritian cloud infrastructure and web hosting provider founded in 2018. The company operates through Hosted Ltd, following the legal name change from DataKeepers Ltd on June 20, 2025. Its headquarters are in Moka, Mauritius, and the business remains a relatively compact local provider with an estimated team of 2–10 employees.

The product range covers Linux shared hosting, managed WordPress hosting, website-builder packages, reseller hosting, Linux VPS, Windows VPS, cPanel VPS, reseller virtual servers, dedicated servers, cloud backup, domain registration, SSL certificates and Microsoft server licenses. The strongest advantage is the concentration on infrastructure and customer support within Mauritius, accompanied by additional server options in South Africa.

Web Hosting uses cPanel, LiteSpeed and SSD storage. The packages provide between 20 GB and 500 GB of storage, unlimited monthly traffic, free SSL certificates, email accounts, databases and daily backups. The entry package supports two websites, while the largest plan allows up to 50 websites and unlimited databases. These packages suit personal websites, local companies, online catalogs and small agencies that want Mauritian hosting without managing an entire server.

WordPress Hosting includes WordPress Toolkit Deluxe, LiteSpeed caching, automatic installation tools, updates, free SSL certificates and daily backups. Storage allocations range from 25 GB to 500 GB, with support for between one and seven WordPress websites. The larger packages are particularly suitable for developers or agencies managing several customer projects.

The Site Builder combines hosting with a drag-and-drop website editor, more than 200 responsive templates, email accounts, SSL certificates and basic search-engine optimization tools. The Pro+ package also includes e-commerce functionality. Existing websites can be imported from platforms such as Wix, Weebly and Yola. Websites created with this builder cannot be exported to another hosting platform, making it less appropriate for customers who expect to migrate the finished project elsewhere later.

Reseller Hosting uses cPanel and WHM and includes custom nameservers, unlimited traffic, email accounts and databases. Depending on the package, resellers receive between 25 and 100 separate cPanel accounts and between 100 GB and 800 GB of SSD storage. This service works well for local developers, designers and agencies that want to sell hosting under their own identity and establish their own customer prices.

A separate VPS Reseller service allows partners to supply virtual servers without maintaining the underlying infrastructure. Fixed package prices are not included in the standard retail catalog, so reseller conditions depend on the required capacity and commercial arrangement.

The Linux VPS range uses KVM virtualization and includes SSD storage, static IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, private networking, snapshots and a self-service management dashboard. Customers can install common Linux distributions or upload a custom ISO. Configurations begin with one virtual CPU, 1 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, scaling to systems with 24 virtual CPUs, 128 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.

Windows VPS includes a Windows Server license, full Administrator access through Remote Desktop, static addressing and dashboard-based server management. Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2022 are available. These servers can support Microsoft applications, remote-desktop environments, databases and specialized business software that cannot run on Linux.

cPanel VPS combines a KVM virtual server with cPanel and WHM. The entry configuration includes five cPanel accounts, full root access, custom nameservers and semi-managed assistance. Additional cPanel account licenses, LiteSpeed, Softaculous and security products can be added. Migration assistance is available for customers transferring compatible cPanel accounts.

Dedicated Servers are available in Mauritius and Johannesburg, South Africa. Configurations use Intel Xeon or AMD Ryzen processors with NVMe or SSD storage, software RAID, multiple IPv4 addresses, IPv6 connectivity, IPMI or remote KVM access and a choice of operating systems. Traffic is unmetered through a 100 Mbps port. The Mauritius configurations carry a noticeable local-infrastructure premium, while the South African systems generally provide stronger hardware specifications at a lower monthly rate.

Cloud Backup uses Acronis technology and keeps backup data in Mauritius. It supports Windows, macOS and Linux computers, physical servers, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, VMware and Hyper-V. The packages include incremental transfers, compression, reporting, configurable retention and AES-256 encryption. Customers may control their own encryption key, although a lost private key cannot be restored.

Domain services include registrations, renewals and transfers for .MU, related Mauritian extensions and many international domain names. DNS management, contact information and renewals are handled through the customer portal. The standard .MU registration or renewal price is Rs3,500 per year, including VAT, from June 5, 2026.

The SSL certificate range begins with RapidSSL and extends to organization-validated and extended-validation certificates issued through DigiCert. Free domain-validated SSL is already included with the main hosting packages, so the commercial certificates are mainly relevant to organizations requiring formal company validation, warranty coverage or a separately issued certificate.

Microsoft server licenses are also available, including SQL Server Web Edition licensed in two-vCPU packages for Windows servers hosted with cloud.mu.

The main website is modern, responsive and primarily available in English. The customer portal includes English and French interfaces and supports both Mauritian rupees and U.S. dollars.
