📄 Editorial Review

ChinaHoster is a Hong Kong hosting provider focused on companies and individuals that need reliable access from mainland China without placing their main web server inside mainland China. The service operates under Cycom Hong Kong Limited (cycom.com.hk), a Hong Kong hosting and IT company whose business dates back to 2010. Cycom Hong Kong Limited was incorporated in Hong Kong in 2013.

The hosting model is particularly suitable for foreign businesses targeting Chinese visitors. Customer websites can remain hosted in Hong Kong, avoiding the ICP licensing requirement normally associated with mainland China hosting, while benefiting from network connectivity optimized for users in China. ChinaHoster has infrastructure resources in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing, combining Hong Kong hosting with regional DNS and backup systems.

The product range includes Personal Hosting, Business Hosting, Cloud Hosting, Dedicated Hosting, WordPress-compatible hosting, Weebly website-builder packages, domain registration and free trial hosting.

Personal Hosting is traditional shared hosting for smaller websites. Plans provide between 3 GB and 12 GB of disk space and are mainly sold with annual billing. They include cPanel, email, databases and the standard hosting tools needed for personal sites, company presentation websites and smaller web projects.

Business Hosting provides substantially more resources, with 20 GB to 80 GB storage, 200 GB to 800 GB monthly transfer and support for multiple domains. Depending on the plan, customers can host between 5 and 20 domains. Email accounts, databases and FTP accounts are unrestricted within the applicable server resource limits. Daily backup facilities are also included.

Cloud Hosting is a managed hosting service rather than a basic unmanaged VPS. Configurations range from 2 CPU cores, 4 GB RAM and 100 GB storage up to 8 CPU cores, 16 GB RAM and 500 GB storage. Plans include a dedicated IP address, root access, WHM/cPanel, security configuration, firewall setup, operating-system updates, proactive monitoring and remote backups. RAID storage and R1Soft continuous backup protection are also part of the platform.

Dedicated Hosting uses Dell server hardware and includes managed server administration. Configurations range from Intel Xeon E3 systems with 16 GB RAM to more powerful Xeon E-series and dual Xeon E5 systems with SSD storage and up to 64 GB RAM. Dedicated plans include 100 Mbps unmetered connectivity, cPanel Premier 100, WHM, root and SSH access, Softaculous, server hardening, monitoring and remote backups.

WordPress can be installed through Softaculous and managed from cPanel. Existing WordPress and cPanel websites can also be transferred to ChinaHoster, with qualifying cPanel migrations handled without an additional migration charge.

A separate Weebly Website Builder service is available for customers who prefer a visual drag-and-drop approach instead of installing a CMS. Starter, Pro and Business packages include website-building tools, domain registration, SSL, statistics and e-commerce functions. Higher plans support larger online stores, while the Business package removes the Weebly transaction fee.

Customers can also test the hosting service through a 10-day free trial. The trial includes 1 GB storage, 10 GB transfer and hosting for one website. An existing domain can be used, while a temporary subdomain can also be provided when required. Only one trial is available per customer.

Domain registration and transfers are integrated into the customer account. Selected hosting packages include a free domain, with extensions such as .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .asia, .co, .eu, .ru and .in among the eligible options.

ChinaHoster also operates a partner program. Customers maintaining the required number of active hosting accounts can receive discounted hosting pricing. Cloud and dedicated customers with WHM can additionally create separate cPanel accounts and use the infrastructure for their own hosting customers.

The service supports an extensive selection of interface languages. These include English, French, German, Arabic, Catalan, Croatian, Brazilian Portuguese, Portuguese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Ukrainian, with additional language options available through the client area. Product prices are primarily displayed in USD.

Some commercial and legal information is not completely synchronized. The hosting pages use a 21-day money-back guarantee, while older Terms of Service wording refers to 30 days for annual plans. Dedicated-server pricing also contains an older starting figure on one section while the dedicated product range begins at a lower current price. The footer still contains an older copyright period as well. For business-critical orders, confirming the applicable refund conditions and final recurring price before payment is advisable.
