Setup fee: 0 CZK for a 12-month contract. ServerSingle is for one rack-mount server in the 2U to 4U range or one conventional tower server; atypical dimensions require an individual consultation. It includes backed-up power and a Gigabit Ethernet interface. The monthly traffic allowance is split into 6000 GB for NIX.CZ and 200 GB for international connectivity, giving 6200 GB of combined traffic allowance. Monitoring and remote restart are included, together with the required number of IP addresses, although an exact IPv4 count is not specified. The included real power draw is 150 W and the maximum permitted draw is 300 W.
Server Housing operates in Casablanca's own Prague datacentre. The facility has more than 1600 m2 across eight data halls and uses a central cooling source, closed cold and hot aisles, and free cooling. Power protection is based on modular UPS systems and four motor generators with a combined output of 2 MW. Physical security includes nonstop guards, chip-card access records, camera monitoring, lockable racks and boxes, EPS fire detection, and Fogtec high-pressure fire suppression. The datacentre network is fully redundant, built with Juniper, HPE and Cisco active elements, and connected to external networks with aggregate capacity above 50 Gbps. Customer links can be delivered at 10M, 100M, 1G or 10G, with IPv4 and IPv6 support, NIX.CZ connectivity, SIX, DE-CIX, AMS-IX and LINX access, MRTG statistics, BGP routing and other IP services. All datacentre services include nonstop technical support and monitoring, while optional services include remote server administration, data backup and remote restart. CASABLANCA INT a.s. is a Czech datacenter, cloud and managed infrastructure provider with an operating history dating back to 1996. The original Casablanca INT business was established on October 2, 1996 and initially focused on fixed Internet connectivity before expanding into server housing, IP services, virtualization and cloud computing. Milan Švácha was one of the company's three founders and remained closely associated with its development for many years.The corporate structure changed substantially in 2020. The ICT division responsible for the datacenter, cloud and related services was transferred to BIGCLOUD a.s. in April 2020, after which BIGCLOUD was renamed CASABLANCA INT a.s. The present legal entity, company ID 09070931, was incorporated on April 2, 2020 and is owned by S.I.C. (sic.cz). The Casablanca infrastructure business therefore continues under a newer legal entity while retaining a brand and operating history extending back to 1996.
Another important change occurred in 2019, when the telecommunications division covering Internet connectivity, data circuits and voice services was sold to WIA (wia.cz). WIA took over the relevant infrastructure and part of the corporate customer base from July 1, 2019. Casablanca subsequently concentrated on ServerHousing, cloud infrastructure, virtual servers, dedicated physical servers, backup and managed IT services rather than traditional telecommunications access services.
The current portfolio centers on Server Housing / Colocation, dedicated server rental, virtual servers, BigBlueOne cloud infrastructure, cloud storage, data backup, server management, network administration, IT management and data security. This is not a conventional mass-market shared hosting provider with small cPanel plans, reseller accounts or website-builder packages. The strongest part of its business is infrastructure for companies that require physical colocation, virtualized systems or managed enterprise IT.
Server Housing remains one of the core services. Customers can colocate anything from a single 1U server to larger 2U-4U systems, tower servers, quarter racks, half racks, complete racks and individually allocated datacenter space. The service can include IP connectivity, monitoring, remote restart, server administration and backup, making it suitable for both smaller business deployments and larger private infrastructures.
Customers that need dedicated resources but do not already own suitable hardware can use server rental. This provides dedicated physical equipment inside Casablanca's datacenter without requiring the customer to purchase, install and maintain all hardware independently.
The Virtual Server / VPS service is integrated with Casablanca's cloud infrastructure. Virtual machines can be configured according to required processing power, memory and storage, with full administrative access available where needed. Customers can also combine their virtual infrastructure with Casablanca's managed services when they prefer the operating system and application environment to be maintained by technical staff.
The main cloud platform is BigBlueOne, introduced in 2012 as an early Czech public-cloud platform. The infrastructure combines hardware from HPE (hpe.com) with VMware virtualization and HPE 3PAR storage. CPU, memory, storage and other resources can be configured according to workload requirements instead of being restricted to only a few fixed VPS packages.
BigBlueOne keeps current data synchronously across separate storage systems in two independent Prague datacenter locations, adding resilience against a failure of an individual storage system or location. Historical backup can be added through Veeam (veeam.com), separating current replicated data from restore points designed for recovery after deletion, corruption or another application-level incident.
The separate Data Backup service also uses Veeam technology. A typical configuration combines a complete weekly backup with daily incremental backups, although backup frequency can be customized. Backup copies are maintained separately from production storage, and restoration testing can also form part of the service.
Managed infrastructure is an important part of Casablanca's offering. Server Management can include installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, updates and remote administration on daily, weekly or monthly schedules. Computer Network Management extends the service to network audits, optimization, routers, servers, backup systems and user infrastructure. Broader IT Management can cover workstations, operating systems, networking, antivirus protection and routine or emergency technical work.
Security combines datacenter controls with network and software protection. The infrastructure uses technologies including Trend Micro (trendmicro.com) TippingPoint, while physical security includes controlled entry, CCTV surveillance and continuous on-site protection. Casablanca has also participated in the Czech FENIX security project and operates a CSIRT team.
The website is available in Czech and English, although some detailed sections remain available only in Czech. Czech therefore provides the most complete technical information. Commercial pricing is primarily given in CZK (Czech koruna).
