*📜 Plan description
Byet.Host – Free & Premium Hosting Backed by In-House Technology
Byet.Host is a long-established web hosting provider with more than a decade of industry experience and over a million websites hosted worldwide. What sets them apart is their dual offering of completely free web hosting and affordable premium plans, all powered by a proprietary infrastructure designed for speed, reliability, and scalability.
Their free hosting service isn’t just a basic placeholder — it includes a comprehensive range of features typically found in paid hosting plans. Users get access to PHP (versions 5.4 through 7.0), MySQL databases, FTP access, and a web-based control panel called VistaPanel, which is tailored specifically for their platform. To simplify website setup, Softaculous script installer is included, allowing for one-click deployment of hundreds of popular applications such as WordPress, Joomla, phpBB, Zen-Cart, and more. This makes it an appealing option for beginners and hobbyists alike.
Behind the scenes, Byet.Host operates on a custom-built network infrastructure. Their free hosting platform is powered by an in-house software stack and runs across a clustered network of servers. This allows hosted websites to benefit from distributed resources, helping them maintain fast load times and consistent availability even under load. Hardware and software are entirely managed by Byet.Host, ensuring tight integration and end-to-end control — a notable point of difference compared to many hosts who resell third-party infrastructure.
For those looking to scale, Byet.Host also offers premium upgrades including VPS servers, WHM reseller accounts, and fully managed dedicated servers. Each service tier benefits from the same in-house support and infrastructure that powers their free offering, ensuring a consistent experience as users grow.
Users also have flexibility in domain management. Free hosting accounts can use subdomains from a selection of branded domains (e.g., yoursite.byethost.com), or they can easily integrate their own custom domain names from any registrar with just a few clicks.
Whether you're experimenting with your first website or looking for a low-cost foundation with room to grow, Byet.Host delivers a feature-rich platform with a proven track record. The combination of free access, custom-built backend systems, and a large catalog of deployable web apps makes it a standout choice in the budget hosting space.

📄 Editorial Review
Byet Host is a long-running free and low-cost hosting brand connected to the iFastNet hosting ecosystem. The Byet brand has been active since 2005, while I Fastnet Limited is a UK company incorporated in 2012 and registered in Newcastle upon Tyne. Their identity is still strongly tied to free web hosting, but the platform now covers a wider hosting stack: Free Hosting, Premium Shared Hosting, Business Hosting, WHM/cPanel Reseller Hosting, Free Reseller Hosting / MyOwnFreeHost, VPS, Dedicated Servers, Domain Registration, SSL, Email, SiteBuilder, and one-click application hosting. The most recognizable product remains free web hosting. The current free plan is generous for a no-cost service, with 5 GB NVMe storage, unlimited bandwidth, PHP 8.3, MySQL 8 / MariaDB, free SSL for subdomains, FTP, cron jobs, DNS tools, Softaculous with 400+ apps, and no forced advertising. Free hosting accounts use VistaPanel, their own in-house control panel, which keeps the service lightweight and avoids the licensing overhead of cPanel on free accounts.
The paid side runs mainly through iFastNet, including premium hosting, business hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, and reseller plans. Premium shared hosting uses cPanel, NVMe storage, Softaculous, free SSL, email tools, SiteBuilder, and free domain options depending on the package and billing cycle. Business hosting is positioned as a stronger shared-hosting environment, with fewer users per server, SSH access, higher email limits, and larger resource allocations.
For resellers, the ecosystem includes two different models. MyOwnFreeHost allows users to create a free hosting brand with custom branding and a white-label hosting panel. The paid WHM/cPanel reseller plans are more suitable for agencies, web designers, and hosting resellers who want to sell premium cPanel hosting accounts with private nameservers, Softaculous, NVMe storage, and WHM account management.
Their VPS and dedicated server products are more technical and less beginner-oriented. VPS plans include full root access, KVM/OpenVZ-style virtualization, a dedicated IPv4 address, Linux operating system choices such as Debian, CentOS, and Ubuntu, and scalable RAM, storage, and bandwidth allocations. Dedicated servers are offered with root access, Hestia Control Panel included, and optional cPanel/WHM at extra cost.
A realistic view is important. Byet Host is attractive for students, hobby projects, test websites, small personal pages, and users who want a free hosting account without ads. However, the free tier should not be treated like premium managed hosting. Resource limits, suspension rules, script restrictions, and backup responsibility remain important. For business-critical projects, the paid iFastNet path is more appropriate than the free Byet plan.

😠 I tell my case with byethost free and the non-existent technical support
After two months, when i update plugin, modify theme script or have some visitors, Byethost suspended hosting and send my traffic to advertising byethost for 24 hours, they say that the CPU usage limit has been exceeded, the result is that they take advantage of the traffic of my web to show them advertising of ifastnet / byethost almost permanently
Wordpress plugins start to fail, by the new cpu limit use, my backup plugin does not work anymore, I can not install others plugins because it fails. When talking with technical support he tells me that now for the free service you can not use some plugins because the free hosting is now very limited CPU use, they tell me to download the phpmyadmin database and with ftp the folder htdocs, for make a manual backup of muy site.
i cant connect by the ftp, server is waiting all time, and cant connect, I can not download the data from my wordpress, at the same time byethost permanently byet blocks access to my website and WordPress, when someone visit my site web, now only can see this : The site is experiencing technical difficulties.
After more than 48 hours with the site down, I ask what happens with the service and with all these problems
the only answer I've had has been this
Hi there,
Try manually upgrading your wordpress website :

Please let us know if there is anything further we can do for you.

In short, they first take advantage of your work, when they see that you do not have much traffic to send to byethost advertising, they directly suspend your website without letting you do a backup
Does it make sense that they offer you a free service so they can treat you like that? really think that after how they have treated me
I will do an upgrade ?? they must be crazy

😠 Everything from byethost is the worst. Myownfreehost also. Since it is a big deal, it is not possible to expect a great miracle. It's free doesn't go as you want.
I do not recommend this service

😠 ByetHost is a scam. Since it's free you have the traps limits that end. He writes there that "Unlimited" but you do not. I do not recommend byethity, and when you have an account cancel it and upload sites, because tomorrow your site may not have hundreds of experiences. I recommend hajuhost.ml. It's not advertising
