Broadview AB is a Swedish web hosting, cloud and IT-services company founded in 2000 in Kramfors, in the Höga Kusten region of northern Sweden. With more than 25 years of activity, Broadview has developed into a business-focused provider serving more than 3,000 customers in Sweden and internationally. The company was founded by Lena Lif, Staffan Forslund and Dag Bodin, who have remained closely connected to the operation, with Lif as CEO, Forslund responsible for sales and Bodin handling the technical side as CTO.

Broadview is considerably broader than a conventional shared-hosting provider. Its portfolio includes Shared Web Hosting, LAMP Hosting, Cloud Servers, Hosted Exchange, Domain Registration, SSL/TLS Certificates, Microsoft 365, WordPress management and security, remote backup, website development and general IT support. This gives business customers the possibility of combining hosting, cloud infrastructure, email and ongoing IT assistance with the same Swedish provider.

The standard shared-hosting range consists of Legacy, Basic and Premium packages. Storage ranges from 10 GB to 100 GB for websites and from 10 GB to 50 GB for email, while monthly traffic allowances range from 750 GB to 2,000 GB. Legacy uses Apache, while the newer Basic and Premium environments use LiteSpeed. Depending on the package, customers receive three to ten SQL databases, MariaDB databases of up to 1–5 GB each, unlimited subdomains, email accounts and aliases within the available storage, cron jobs, redirects, DNSSEC and SSL through Let's Encrypt.

Backups are retained for 30 days, with longer retention available as an additional service. This is a practical advantage for business sites where accidental deletion, failed updates or application problems may only become apparent after several days.

Customers needing more resources can move to LAMP Hosting, which offers a more isolated and powerful environment than ordinary shared hosting. The Start configuration includes 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 20 GB SSD storage, Standard increases this to 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM and 60 GB SSD, while Pro provides 4 vCPU, 6 GB RAM and 100 GB SSD. These environments run Linux with Apache and MySQL/MariaDB and are hosted in Sweden. Administration is possible through Broadview's control panel as well as SSH, making the platform suitable for WordPress, WooCommerce and more customized PHP applications.

Cloud Servers form another important part of the portfolio. CPU, RAM and storage can be adapted to the actual workload, with both self-managed and fully managed operation available. Cloud services have no fixed binding period, while billing is based on the resources being used. Broadview works with several virtualization platforms, including VMware, KVM, Nutanix AHV and Proxmox. Customers needing Microsoft cloud infrastructure can also have environments deployed and managed through Microsoft Azure.

Email services extend beyond basic mailbox hosting. Hosted Exchange operates in Sweden and provides synchronized email, contacts, calendars and tasks together with Autodiscover, mobile synchronization and webmail. Mailbox capacity reaches 50 GB on the basic level and 100 GB with the Standard and Standard+ configurations. The more advanced packages also include Outlook integration, push synchronization and shared-calendar functionality.

Broadview is also a Microsoft partner and offers Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard and Business Premium, including migration assistance and ongoing support. This makes it possible to combine local hosting and Swedish cloud infrastructure with Microsoft's collaboration and productivity platform.

SSL is available through free Let's Encrypt certificates as well as commercial certificates for customers requiring additional validation or wildcard coverage. WordPress customers can additionally use WP Shield, a managed security and maintenance service covering automated WordPress and plugin updates, staging, malware scanning, firewall protection, more frequent backups and, depending on the package, 24/7 priority support.

Security is an important part of the overall service. Broadview is ISO 27001 certified and uses encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication, role-based access, centrally managed authentication, network segmentation, firewalls and continuous monitoring. Its cloud infrastructure uses redundant and geographically separated systems within Sweden, making the service particularly relevant to Swedish organizations that prefer local data residency.

The website and most commercial information are available primarily in Swedish, with prices denominated in Swedish kronor (SEK). Some legal information is also available in English, but no complete multi-language/localized version exists.
