📄 Editorial Review

Boom Host is a North American hosting provider operating since 2016, with a strong focus on customers who prefer their hosting data to remain in Canada. The hosting operation is owned and operated by Intelliracks Managed Hosting. Its corporate contact address is in Jacksonville, Florida, while its production hosting infrastructure is located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.

The portfolio covers DirectAdmin Shared Hosting, cPanel Shared Hosting, cPanel Reseller Hosting, Unmanaged VPS, Managed VPS, Managed WordPress Hosting, Pro Email Hosting, Dedicated Servers, domain registration and transfers, SSL certificates, dedicated IP addresses, and website-building tools. This combination makes Boom Host suitable for everything from small websites and agency accounts to isolated KVM virtual servers and custom physical infrastructure.

The newer DirectAdmin Shared Hosting range starts with 5 GB of Pure SSD storage and scales to 25 GB. Accounts use CloudLinux LVE isolation, LiteSpeed with LSCache, MariaDB, Softaculous, free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates, white-label name servers and free migration from compatible cPanel or DirectAdmin accounts. Daily off-server backups are retained for seven days. Customers can also request jailed SSH access, while email is available through POP3, IMAP, SMTP and webmail.

Boom Host also maintains a separate cPanel Shared Hosting range. Storage runs from 10 GB to 50 GB Pure SSD, with unmetered bandwidth across the current packages. The larger Yoho package provides 200% CPU allocation and 2 GB RAM through CloudLinux. LiteSpeed, LSCache, Softaculous, SitePad, Let's Encrypt SSL and free cPanel-to-cPanel migration are included. Daily backups on cPanel shared hosting are retained for 15 days, giving this platform longer backup retention than the DirectAdmin range.

The cPanel Reseller Hosting service provides cPanel and WHM together with custom branding, private or white-label name servers and individually isolated cPanel subaccounts. Packages offer between 25 GB and 100 GB SSD storage and support from 15 to 75 cPanel accounts. A discounted WHMCS license can be added separately, making the platform practical for small hosting resellers, developers and agencies managing multiple customer websites.

The VPS range is divided between managed and unmanaged environments. Unmanaged VPS uses KVM virtualization and gives customers full root access together with Virtualizor for basic virtual-machine administration. Linux templates include distributions such as Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS and Fedora. SSD storage and 1 Gbps network connectivity make these systems better suited to administrators who want direct control over the operating system and software stack.

Managed VPS also runs on KVM and Pure SSD storage but follows a more controlled administration model. cPanel and WHM are included, while Boom Host handles operating-system kernel updates and security patches. Customers receive reseller-level WHM rather than unrestricted root access, making these plans more suitable for customers who want cPanel server resources without maintaining the underlying operating system themselves.

Managed WordPress Hosting uses dedicated KVM virtual-server resources rather than ordinary shared-hosting accounts. Packages accommodate between two and sixteen WordPress websites and include proactive monitoring, WordPress core and plugin updates, server-side caching, malware scanning, daily backups, Let's Encrypt SSL, SFTP, phpMyAdmin and a dedicated IPv4 address for each VPS. The additional isolation makes this service particularly relevant for business WordPress installations that need more predictable resources than conventional shared hosting.

The Pro Email Hosting platform provides mailbox capacities from 5 GB to 50 GB, with SSL-secured IMAP, POP3 and SMTP, webmail, anti-virus and anti-spam filtering. Larger configurations add two-factor authentication, shared calendars and contacts, public folders and Exchange ActiveSync. Mailbox storage uses 256-bit AES encryption at rest and nightly off-server backups. Mailboxes and backups remain in the Toronto-area infrastructure, while email traffic can pass through MailChannels for spam filtering.

Dedicated Servers are built according to individual customer requirements rather than sold through a fixed hardware catalog. Both managed and unmanaged configurations are possible. Boom Host purchases and owns the server hardware used for these deployments instead of simply reselling rented third-party machines. Custom disaster-recovery environments can also use Active/Active or Active/Passive designs.

Domain registration and transfers, dedicated IPv4 addresses and commercial SSL certificates complement the hosting services. Free Let's Encrypt certificates are included where appropriate, while cPanel customers also have access to SitePad for simpler website creation alongside applications such as WordPress, Joomla and Drupal.

The website operates in English and pricing is primarily in U.S. dollars. Customers with a valid Canadian billing or mailing address can also use Canadian dollars, with applicable Canadian taxes added separately.

Some software-version references are considerably older than the rest of the platform, particularly specifications that still mention PHP releases only through 7.3 and Node.js versions 6 through 11. Customers requiring a particular modern PHP, Node.js, Python or other runtime version should therefore confirm current availability before ordering.
