Blueweb is one of South Korea’s long-established hosting providers, with hosting operations dating back to 1999. The business began web hosting and server hosting after becoming a KRNIC-authorized WSP, while Blueweb Co., Ltd. was formally incorporated in February 2000. Over the following years, the company expanded through several acquisitions, including Neobiz in 2007, hosting and website-production operations from Covis Network in 2009, and the hosting business of the Busan Chamber of Commerce in 2010.

Blueweb later merged with YSMP in 2018, and the corporate name changed to Unify Co., Ltd. in 2020. Unify is now the legal operator behind Blueweb services, billing and customer contracts, with Im Seong-ho serving as CEO.

The hosting range covers Linux shared hosting, Windows hosting, .NET hosting, ZeroXE hosting, image hosting, video hosting, reseller hosting, dedicated servers, colocation, managed servers, domains, SSL certificates, DNS services and website-production services.

Linux shared hosting is the most straightforward option for ordinary websites. It combines Apache, PHP, MySQL, FTP and SSH access with email accounts, CGI/Perl/SSI functionality, traffic statistics and website management tools. Plans range from relatively small packages suitable for personal and business sites to larger accounts with substantially more storage and monthly transfer capacity. Hardware firewall protection and WordPress installation are also available.

Windows hosting supports ASP and Microsoft SQL Server environments, while .NET hosting is intended for IIS-based applications using Microsoft development technologies. This part of the product range has a noticeably older technical profile, with Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 still referenced in the hosting specifications. Customers deploying a new Windows application should confirm the exact server and framework version before ordering.

ZeroXE hosting is centered on ZeroBoard XE and includes automatic installation together with SSH and SVN access. It remains useful for existing Korean websites built around that ecosystem, although it is clearly a legacy-oriented product compared with current CMS hosting platforms.

Image hosting is designed for sites that need to serve large quantities of externally linked images, particularly online shops and marketplace sellers. Video hosting provides separate multimedia storage and transfer resources, while reseller hosting allows a single account to operate multiple customer websites.

Dedicated server hosting and colocation extend Blueweb beyond ordinary shared hosting. Customers can place physical servers in the company’s Seoul infrastructure, rent rack space or arrange managed-server services covering operating-system installation, patching, monitoring, security configuration, backup, recovery and general system administration.

Domain services include registration, renewal, transfers, ownership changes and DNS management. DNS customers can create large numbers of subdomains, while domain accounts also integrate forwarding, parking and related management functions.

SSL certificates are available as optional security services, including certificates from DigiCert. Website-building services are also available through CookingM, which provides responsive and mobile-site creation with a trial period.

Blueweb does not maintain a conventional VPS or public cloud-server lineup. Its strength remains traditional hosting, domains, physical server hosting and colocation rather than elastic cloud infrastructure.

The website is Korean only, with no complete English-language version. Products are priced in South Korean won (KRW). The interface and several product families retain a visibly older hosting style, particularly the continued presence of ZeroBoard XE, legacy Windows Server references and older multimedia-hosting technologies. This makes Blueweb more suitable for established Korean customers and existing workloads than for developers looking for a modern self-service cloud environment.
