AZ.pl is one of the longest-established names in the Polish domain and hosting market, with a history reaching back to 1996 in Szczecin, Poland. The company developed during the early growth of Poland's commercial Internet market and became particularly important in domain registration. By 2010 it was managing more than 240,000 Internet addresses and had accumulated a significant share of the Polish domain market.

The ownership structure changed considerably as the company grew. Key-Systems (key-systems.net) acquired a majority interest in AZ.pl in 2010, while another major change followed around 2013-2014 when home.pl became the majority shareholder. AZ.pl now operates within the wider IONOS group, combining its established Polish brand with the technical and corporate resources of a much larger European hosting organization.

The present portfolio is centered on domain registration, shared hosting, WordPress hosting, PrestaShop hosting, SSL certificates, business email, website creation tools and business software. VPS services are also available through the broader group structure, although new Linux and Windows VPS contracts are concluded with home.pl rather than directly with AZ.pl.

Shared Hosting is available in Basic, Standard and Premium variants. Hosting Basic provides 100 GB of storage, unlimited traffic, 50 MySQL databases, five PostgreSQL databases, unlimited websites, daily backups, a dedicated IP address, unlimited email accounts and an application installer. Standard expands storage to 500 GB and removes the database limits, while Premium increases available capacity to 2 TB.

This product is particularly suitable for customers who want WordPress-oriented tools while retaining technical features such as SSH and WP-CLI. It is considerably more flexible than a basic site-builder environment and remains appropriate for developers and agencies managing WordPress installations directly.

PrestaShop Hosting follows a comparable Start and Premium structure. Presta Start provides 25 GB SSD storage, unlimited transfer, support for multiple PrestaShop installations, SSH, FTP/WebFTP, phpMyAdmin, email, a dedicated IPv4 address and backup retention reaching seven days. Presta Premium increases storage to 100 GB and is intended for larger or multiple online stores. The platform uses PHP 8, Apache, OPCache, MySQL 8.0 and HTTP/2.

There is an inconsistency between the summarized and detailed limits associated with the Premium PrestaShop package, with one specification indicating a maximum of 50 stores while another allows an unlimited number of installations. Customers planning unusually large multi-store environments should confirm this particular limit before committing to the service.

Domain registration remains one of AZ.pl's traditional strengths. More than 300 extensions can be managed through the service, covering Polish, generic and international domain extensions. These VPS products provide a broader infrastructure choice than AZ.pl's traditional shared-hosting services. Customers can select European and US locations, receive unlimited traffic, benefit from DDoS protection and use a 99.9% SLA.

The AZ.pl storefront is modern and responsive, with a much cleaner purchasing experience than many older hosting brands established during the same period. The commercial interface, documentation and customer-service environment are primarily in Polish, and services are priced in PLN. Net and gross price views are available, which is useful for both business and consumer customers.
