The business began after Hutchison experienced recurring reliability problems while arranging hosting for websites he had designed. The service operates under Fastrack Technology Australia Pty Ltd, ABN 23 140 217 705, an Australian private company registered in 2009. Apexhost.com became a registered business name under that company on February 2, 2024. Some older account and company information continues to reference Apexhost Pty Ltd, while Fastrack Technology Australia Pty Ltd is the current underlying legal entity.

The product range includes Windows shared hosting, Linux cPanel hosting, managed VPS, unmanaged cloud VPS, Windows reseller hosting, Linux reseller hosting, business email, email filtering and archiving, Microsoft 365 and Exchange services, domain registration, SSL certificates, website security, website building, and custom web design and development.
