AOS Ltd, also known as Africa Olleh Services, is a Rwandan ICT, cloud and data-center operator established in 2014 through a joint venture between the Government of Rwanda and Korea Telecom. The company combines conventional hosting with cloud infrastructure, colocation, cybersecurity, systems integration, software development, surveillance systems, ICT consulting and e-government projects.

AOS is led by Chief Executive Officer Kevin BC Koo, supported by a management team that includes Telesphore Niyibizi, Rita Kamanzi, Dan Gasangwa and Amiri Mugarura. The company employs approximately 51–200 people and operates from Kigali.

The main aos.rw homepage is currently affected by a serious security problem and displays unrelated Indonesian gambling content. Several internal company sections and the separate customer portal remain accessible, but the compromised homepage creates an immediate reputational and security concern. Customers should verify the correct portal address, TLS certificate, payment destination and login page directly with AOS before entering account credentials or financial information.

The hosting catalog covers Rwandan domain registration, cPanel website and email hosting, cloud virtual machines, colocation, SSL certificates, email filtering, website security and a website builder. The cloud virtual machines serve the same practical purpose as VPS hosting, although the company does not use VPS as the primary product name. Traditional reseller hosting, unmanaged dedicated servers and clearly defined bare-metal server packages are not included in the standard catalog.

Domain services focus heavily on Rwanda’s national namespace. Customers can register, renew and transfer .rw, .co.rw, .net.rw, .org.rw, .ac.rw and .coop.rw domains. Registration of .ac.rw requires accreditation documentation from HEC, WDA or REB. Domain management, renewals and support requests are completed through the customer portal.

Shared hosting is divided into Business, Enterprise and Premium ranges, with five packages in each category. Entry-level capacity starts with 500 MB of storage, 10 email accounts, three databases, three FTP accounts and 100 GB of monthly traffic. Higher packages increase storage and account limits, while Business 5 and the Enterprise and Premium ranges include unlimited subdomains, databases, FTP accounts, mailing lists and transfer. The largest Premium package includes 1 TB of storage.

Every listed shared hosting package includes weekly backups. This is useful for small websites and company email accounts, although weekly backups alone may not be sufficient for frequently updated ecommerce stores, news sites or business applications. Customers running critical workloads should confirm restore procedures, retention duration and the availability of more frequent backups.

The shared hosting environment uses cPanel, making it familiar to customers migrating from other mainstream hosting providers. Common tasks include creating MySQL databases, managing FTP accounts, deploying HTML websites, installing WordPress and creating email accounts.

Technical limits are not sufficiently detailed. PHP versions, CPU allocation, memory limits, inode quotas, process limits, database restrictions and underlying server specifications are not included in the standard package descriptions. Resource-intensive websites should therefore obtain these limits in writing before ordering.

Cloud hosting is located in Rwanda and includes seven standard virtual-machine configurations. Resources begin with 1 vCPU, 1 GB of RAM and 50 GB of storage and increase to 4 vCPU, 12 GB of RAM and 300 GB of storage. Every standard configuration includes one virtual machine and 200 GB of outgoing traffic.

Cloud backups are more clearly defined than the shared hosting backup policy. A full backup is completed weekly, incremental backups run every 24 hours and backup copies are retained for two weeks. This arrangement provides reasonable protection for smaller business systems, although customers should still maintain independent application and database backups.

Custom cloud configurations are available by quotation. The virtualization platform, processor generation, storage technology, available operating systems, root-access rules, network-port speed and additional bandwidth pricing are not specified. Customers that need detailed infrastructure controls should request confirmation of console access, snapshots, firewall management, reverse DNS, operating-system reinstalls and reboot controls.

Colocation is available from 1U through 6U, with each standard option including a 10 Mbps bandwidth limit. Larger deployments can use an 11U quarter rack, 21U half rack or dedicated 42U cabinet. The environment includes racks and cabinets, on-site security personnel, continuous surveillance, biometric access, backup generators, batteries and uninterruptible power systems.

SSL certificates are available in DV, OV, EV and wildcard formats. Certificate brands include RapidSSL, GeoTrust and Secure Site products, with 256-bit encryption, free reissues and different validation and warranty levels. Some descriptions still associate EV certificates with a green browser address bar, an outdated concept that modern browsers no longer use.

Email protection is based on SpamExperts incoming and outgoing filtering. Messages are scanned before delivery, suspicious email can be quarantined and outgoing filtering helps protect the reputation of the mail server. Email continuity can temporarily retain messages when the destination server is unavailable. An archiving option combines incoming and outgoing filtering with 10 GB of compressed storage by default.

Website security is available through SiteLock packages. Depending on the selected level, protection includes daily malware scanning, blacklist monitoring, vulnerability checks, automatic malware removal, WordPress scanning, a web application firewall and CDN acceleration. A separate emergency-response service provides seven days of accelerated malware assistance.

The customer portal also includes a legacy Weebly website builder. Free and paid plans include drag-and-drop editing, responsive templates, blogs, forms, multimedia and ecommerce features. Starter, Pro and Business packages progressively add membership, multimedia and store functions. The long-term availability of this product should be confirmed before building a new commercial website around it.

Beyond hosting, AOS provides anti-DDoS systems, intrusion prevention, web application firewalls, VPN integration, network design, data-center construction and operation, disaster-recovery consulting, CCTV and systems integration. This broader range is particularly relevant to Rwandan government institutions, regulated organizations and local businesses that need one supplier for hosting, network infrastructure and security.

The corporate website and ordering portal operate mainly in English. No multi-language or localized version exists. Prices are displayed in Rwandan francs, abbreviated as RWF. The remaining functional sections use a responsive layout, although several areas contain old copyright dates, legacy product references and outdated browser-security terminology.
