Aftermarket.pl is one of Poland’s largest domain registration and secondary-market platforms. The company combines registrar services with a large domain marketplace, auctions, domain catching, shared hosting, business email, website and online-store builders, SSL certificates, VPN access, SEO, paid-search campaign management, and an affiliate program.

The business began on June 19, 2006, when founder Michał Pleban, a graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology, launched Dropped.pl as a specialist service for domain investors. Poland’s first dedicated online domain marketplace followed on April 20, 2008, together with the transition to the Aftermarket.pl brand. The company became an authorized .pl registrar in July 2009 and expanded into web hosting in August 2010.

Further milestones included the acquisition of the co.pl domain in 2011 and the launch of registrations under that namespace. In 2018, Michał Pleban repurchased the remaining investor shares, returning the business to 100% Polish capital. Aftermarket.pl was recognized by Poland’s Ministry of Digital Affairs as an operator of an essential service in 2020. The company later exceeded 10% of the Polish .pl market, while registry results for 2024 placed it first for new .pl registrations with a 17.72% share.

The platform operates at substantial scale, with approximately 440,000 registered domains, 148,000 registered users, almost 393,000 marketplace listings, and more than 608,000 completed transactions. This active customer and transaction base is particularly valuable for domain investors because it creates considerably more liquidity than a small registrar or isolated auction platform could provide.

The core domain service covers registrations, renewals, transfers, bulk portfolio management, custom DNS records, DNSSEC, WHOIS monitoring, WHOIS privacy where supported, Registry Lock, .pl domain options, API access, public and private appraisals, and a domain-name generator.

The marketplace supports fixed-price sales, buyer negotiations, conventional auctions, Last Minute auctions, installment purchases, domain leasing, Premium listings, and promotional placements for sellers. Domain owners can manage registrations and sales from the same account, simplifying portfolio administration and financial settlement.

Its domain-catching service handles expiring .pl domains and also supports .com, .net, and .org catching. Every package includes unlimited transfer, unlimited hosted domains, unlimited email accounts, PHP and MariaDB support, application installation, cron jobs, free SSL compatibility, DNSSEC support, and integrated WireGuard VPN profiles.

Customers receive 2 VPN profiles with Start, 8 with Business, and 20 with Pro. Depending on the package and individual requirements, SSH access, a dedicated IP address, and customized server environments can also be arranged. Pro customers with more demanding projects may request dedicated server environments configured around their workload, although there is no standard self-service catalog of unmanaged VPS or dedicated servers.

The hosting environment supports PHP 7.4, 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3, MariaDB 10.6, LiteSpeed caching, automated application installation, WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and common e-commerce software. Security includes anti-DDoS protection, an AI-assisted firewall, SSL certificates, DNSSEC, continuous monitoring, and backups retained for up to seven days.

A separate business email service is available without purchasing a hosting package. It includes 25 mailboxes with 6 GB per mailbox, providing 150 GB of total storage, together with 25 email aliases. The package is limited to domains maintained through Aftermarket.pl, making it inexpensive but less suitable for customers who keep their domains with another registrar.

The website builder is aimed at Polish sole traders and small businesses that need a professional website without coding. A customer can enter a Polish company tax number, import business information, select a design, and generate an initial website in approximately 30 seconds.

The editor includes templates, stock photographs, and a large library of ready-made business descriptions, articles, service texts, biographies, headings, and slogans. Page content and design elements can be edited visually, and the completed website can use the customer’s own domain.

The One Page Shop service supports up to 1,000 products with photographs. It includes electronic payments, automated invoicing, delivery management, conversion tracking, and ready-made GDPR documentation.

Integrations cover major Polish payment providers, PayPal, courier ordering, parcel lockers, cash on delivery, electronic products, and invoicing platforms. It is a practical option for a small or medium-sized Polish retailer, although larger stores with complex warehouse, marketplace, multilingual, or enterprise-resource-planning requirements may need a more advanced e-commerce platform.

Additional products include standard and wildcard SSL certificates, standalone VPN subscriptions for 2, 8, or 20 devices, SEO consultation and optimization, and Google Ads campaign management. VPN applications are available for Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android, using European servers with maximum connection speeds of up to 10 Gbps.

The account interface is modern, responsive, and exceptionally feature-rich. The large number of domain investment, auction, payment, and portfolio-management functions can initially require some familiarization, but the tools are well suited to active domain investors.

Localization is not completely consistent across all sections, and some English screens still contain Polish content.
