1Gb.ru is a long-established Russian hosting provider operating since 2002, with commercial activity beginning on October 15 of that year. The service originated as a project of ZAO In-Solv and today operates through AO 1Gb.ru together with ZAO In-Solv. The company serves many tens of thousands of individuals and organizations and hosts more than 100,000 websites. It is also included in Russia's official registry of hosting providers. Oksana Alexandrovna Bernikova is General Director of AO 1Gb.ru, Petr Mikhailovich Malakhin heads ZAO In-Solv, and Dmitry Yuryevich Mikhailov serves as Technical Director of both organizations.

The product range is considerably broader than conventional shared hosting. 1Gb.ru provides Linux and Windows shared hosting, cloud/pay-per-use hosting, HyperVPS, Linux KVM VPS, OpenVZ VPS, dedicated servers, Digital Data Center virtual infrastructure, domains and DNS, SSL certificates, CDN, storage, S3-compatible storage, file synchronization, DDoS protection, managed administration and website-development tools. This allows customers to begin with a relatively small website account and later move to virtual or dedicated infrastructure without leaving the same provider.

Shared hosting remains one of the main services. The standard plans include Basic, Optimal and Extended packages with SSD storage, databases, email, backups, DNS administration and free HTTPS/SSL. Basic includes 15 GB of storage for websites and mail, two websites, five mailboxes and 3 GB of database space. Optimal raises the allocation to 40 GB, 16 websites and 10 mailboxes, while Extended includes 60 GB, up to 60 websites, 30 mailboxes and additional VIP-site resources.

A strong technical advantage is support for both Linux/Apache and Windows/IIS environments. Customers can work with PHP, ASP.NET/.NET, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server. SSH, SCP, SFTP and CRON are also available on suitable plans, making the service practical for developers who need more control than basic browser-only hosting.

The company also maintains a free hosting option for customers keeping a paid domain through 1Gb.ru. It includes 3 GB SSD storage, one website, one mailbox, DNS, backups and SSL. PHP, scripting and databases are not included, so this package is mainly suited to static or very small sites. HyperVPS can be deployed in Moscow or Frankfurt am Main.

A legacy OpenVZ VPS range also remains available as a lower-cost virtualization option, although it sits outside the main SLA framework.

Customers with heavier requirements can rent dedicated physical servers built around Intel and AMD processors, including Ryzen-based machines and configurations with Nvidia GPUs. Available systems range from smaller servers to equipment with many CPU cores, large RAM capacities, NVMe storage and substantial HDD arrays. Remote KVM access and remote power management are included, and short paid test rentals are available before committing to a longer term.

The Digital Data Center platform fills the gap between conventional VPS and physical dedicated hardware. These systems use guaranteed CPU, RAM and NVMe resources, with business-oriented configurations beginning at four processor cores, 16 GB ECC RAM and 500 GB NVMe. Backup and replication options are available, while management is integrated with the company's own 1Gb Panel. This product family also receives the strongest availability target within the provider's standard infrastructure range.

Domain registration covers Russian and international extensions. Registrations are handled through REG.RU, RU-CENTER and Openprovider. DNS management is integrated with the customer account.

It prioritizes functionality and detailed configuration over visual simplicity, and the account environment even retains selectable default, new and old interface designs.
