📅 - CarrAmerica Realty Corporation said today that broadband Internet and Web hosting provider Covad Communications (covad.com) has leased 86,196 square feet of space at its Rio Robles Technology Center in San Jose, California where Covad will be relocating its headquarters.
The Rio Robles Technology Center, a 368,000 square foot facility, is a seven-building office center located in North San Jose. Covad will occupy building B at 110 Rio Robles Avenue. Originally built in 1983, the buildings that comprise the Rio Robles Technology Center are designed for high-end technology users with 14 foot ceilings and flexible floorplates. "CarrAmerica is extremely pleased that Covad has chosen Rio Robles Technology Center for their new headquarters location," said Christopher Peatross, CarrAmerica managing director for Northern California. "Our team of property management professionals looks forward to enhancing the operations of Covad's new office." Covad's current head office is located in Santa Clara, California.

Marks - DSL and broadband access firm Covad Communications (Covad.com) said yesterday it had emerged from bankruptcy after paying bondholders a pre-negotiated amount that eliminated $1.4 billion in high-yield debt.
