Oct, 2003 : Smoovers.com Launches Web Site Moving Firm
📅 - Smoovers.com (smoovers.com), a Web site moving and storage company, said it officially opened its doors today.
"There just too many site owners stuck with less than great or over-priced hosting services because they don't have the time, skills or resources to get their site moved and hosts open a whole new can of worms when they start offering webmastering services to their clients," said Marc Stephens, founder of Smoovers.com. "Smoovers steps in, gets the site moved and working on the new host, then steps out. In most cases the whole process takes about 2 or 3 days." The company is offering the moving service to Web site owners and for hosting providers who can pass them along to newly acquired customers. Bulk discounts are available for hosting service providers. Stephens also heads Strategy Partners LLC, which is involved in several sites related to Web hosting and online marketing.
